I used to get close to 200 DLs some days. Now I can't even break 100. Sales are cut in half lately for me.

Either their sales are falling

possibly. there are much more photo contributors than before. same size of cake, less share  Grin

Problem is, the other agencies are increasing, and SS' share is sinking dramatically.

Yes! more contributors = more images - more competition and unfortunately and probably less sales for individuals.

I suppose the best we can do is strive for quality and hope that a good pic will continue to sell.

we should avoid subs as much as possible. In that sense it may be not a bad thing that SS is not performing as well as before. Image price are going up. Subs can destroy that. It is up to us. Images are ours. Do not expect gifts or fair play from
resellers of our images.

Same for me (well expect the numbers are smaller Cheesy). For me the problem is that I didn't upload for a while, just sent a few new files this week.

I noticed that I get very few sales in the morning and early afternoon (looks like whole Europe is on vacations). It gets better later in the day.

Yes, Europe is on holidays. This week, for example, almost all industries close in Italy and they all go to the beach. 'They', cause I don't live in Italy anymore, I moved to sunny UK (ahahah sunny... global warming my a..).

This is getting ridiculous.

I uploaded a batch on Friday, which wasn't reviewed until late Monday, and here it is late Wednesday and some images STILL aren't showing up in searches.  Meanwhile, other newer images are showing up just fine.  Some of the images not showing up will already be on page two when they do finally show in the search.

I'm also beginning to wonder if the new smaller subscriptions are going to have a negative impact on overall sales as buyers wait to purchase images.

Of course they are. It will attract smaller buyers who used to buy individual photos to buy subs, leaving us with less pay per photo, but the agencies, on this case SS, with more.
