I'm using the newest version of Shutterstock's front page, which is still in Beta, but a new feature has miraculously appeared overnight.

There's now a map of the world and everytime you refresh the front page your last 10 sales appear over it, one by one, with a dot indicating both the country and the city where it was bought.

The knowledge that I just sold a kitchen in Perth, Australia ... a bathroom in northern Italy ... and a sandwich in Athens, Greece ... etc ... is probably not going to make me any more money __ but it is really cool and strangely entertaining!

My Shutterstock's front pages is boring as usual. How did you get to the new front page? I can't find the way...

They may be rolling this out gradually and only some contributors see it at this point.

Alamy does this all the time.

Istock in the past did it the opposite way and failed many times when going live with new features (available to everyone).

Sorry, I don't understand your question (English is not my native tongue).

Is this a gag, or are there certain mushrooms that must be smoked before this new display appears?

Hmm, I still don't quite understand what you are asking me but I think you want to know which features Alamy rolled out to a selected group first before making it accessible to everyone.

- The "new" Manage Images tool was initially offered to only 250 in March 2009 before it was put live on the site for everyone.
- The "newest" Alamy Upload is only offered to a group of contributors to see if it works fine before making it accessible for everyone.

These are just 2 features that I can speak of as I was participating there.

If I didn't answer your question send me a personal message.

Any more hints for the rest of us, how to get or see this feature? I keep looking and all I get is the old pages we have always had.
