I know Shutterstock has some subsites where the sell their pictures for a single price (no subscription). But at the moment i can't remember any of them by name. Maybe one of you can post them?

I think that is the only site that still exists, I read somewhere on the SS forums that Jon said they gave up to work with the others. SY

I still think it is short sighted of them not to offer per picture sales on a wider scale (from memory that site is more midstock pricing).

I am sure they have a good reason (that is confidential) but it would be good to know what it is.

I thought that they eliminated all of the third party sites.

How much royalty do we receive on sales of those images?

I received $2.59 for one but I don't remember the exact percentage.

That site sells for $6.95 per image, so that would be a approx 37% if yingyang's sale was the normal rate.

When I go to the site, I see different prices that vary according to the size of the image.  They range from $6.95 for a small to $29.95 for a supersize.

Thats what SS says in their Terms of Service:
"For co-branded sites that license or sell Shutterstock content on a per image or per item basis, royalties payable to you will be 20% of the purchase price or licensing fee paid for such image or item. For sites that license images from Shutterstock for re-licensing (on a per-image basis) you will be paid the greater of: a) 25 cents per unique download; and b) 20% of the income attributable to each unique download actually received by Shutterstock."

So mhow much does the other site take?  I would prefer 20% of the actual sale and for SS and the other site to share the other 80%!

Stupid question:  How do you even know if you sold something over there?  Does it show up in your SS stats?  I didn't even know this site existed until reading it here.
Second stupid question:  How many of you have sold something over there? I would think that based on the volume I do at SS, at least one of something would have sold on the other site? no? Those of you selling there, what's your ratio in comparative sales?

One sale in 1 year.  Shows up in its own column in the stats section.

I've had three PPS sales in a year and a half, all of which were in 2006 (last one in October).  Compare that with eight ELs since March and 11 overall (starting in August).

The site is actually owned by SS...it's not a third-party reseller.  I've read several times that folks aren't seeing PPS sales anymore, so it SS seems has stopped promoting it since implementing the more successful EL program.
