Topic: Improving contributor conditions

(Read 2007 times)

« on: June 02, 2010, 14:18 »

Suggestion: Make a forum dedicated to discussions of how we can improve contributor conditions.

Right now these discussions seem to be scattered around the site, and are usually hidden in threads starting with an appropriate bitching about a site. A dedicated forum could hopefully give a more organised discussion and direct more attention to this important subject.

Seriously though, I'm not sure. I think I have different wants and needs out of each site. Mostly, I'm happy when my income is steadily going up.

From what I understood, the knight say "apporter la vache" who mean fetch the cow or get the cow. Fechez is a kind of fake french. Interesting video though

Back to the OP - Isn't that what the categories are for? Each major agency at least has a dedicated category. Instead of the usual and general bitching/whining when starting a thread, it would be beneficial if the poster would address specific and meaningful question, and if those who replied by staying on topic. Derailing a thread sometimes results in much useless drivel.

Yeah, I didn't mean to hijack the thread with my silliness. I just wasn't sure if you had a particular complaint...

As much as I would like to see conditions for microstockers improved, I don't know that having an entire forum dedicated to it would have much point.

Periodically some "hero" comes along who is going to save us all from our drudgery.  They start some grandiose thread and get everyone stirred up. But inevitably it always devolves into the same old gripes and circular arguments, followed by the departure of whoever stirred the pot in the first place.

Bottom line is as long as supply continues to outstrip demand by such a wide margin we don't have a lot of leverage...  I wish it was different.

A trade organization or union has been discussed over and over, but most are not interested, and of those of us who would support the idea, nobody has the time or know-how to step up and take charge.

The threads die on their own, not much more to say. I don't want revolution thread sticky at the top. There have been enough

problem is those who arrange and design shrubberies are under considerable economic stress in this period in history

Was not directed at you in particular  Smiley Just at what happens in general.

Vonkara is right, usually threads will die of their own accord, or someone will do a rampup and it will take on a life of its own, meaning any useful info will be buried within the many pages. Sometimes it's hard to sift through it all.

Ah, now we see the violence inherent in the system!
