i think this whole rank thing is really suspect. first of all, i had disabled any public istock info in my profile. second, some people with more downloads have a lower rank and others with less dls have a higher rank than me. i am pretty new so i'm not complaining about my rank but it just seem a little screwy like john's experience. Leaf, I know you're seeing some criticism here, but I for one appreciate the tool. It's a good way to benchmark one's progress with others who are serious about microstock. I've actually been looking at it several times a week since you implemented it to watch my movement... I'm pretty pleased with my positioning since I've just been submitting to Dreamstime for about 14 months and Istock for about 3 months. Thanks for all you do on this site... it really is an invaluable resource for all of us, and I don't see my colleagues pointing that out enough. Kudos!

actually, since you fixed the problem with showing old data, i don't have a problem with rank anymore. but to cite specific examples, i'll need to name names. maybe i can pm you instead.

why not add the option to dislay the list of top 100 [or even all] in each category -- you could make it an opt in chocie in the profile so people could have their name hidden

it would provid an easier measurement than trying to read all the indiv postings

Wow ! that's made a difference, only 450 on iS now ! I was number 461 when I joined a few weeks ago

Hey, I just realised I've got a Dreamstime rank, and it's not even the lowest for downloads!
I've never had an image uploaded, far less downloaded on DT, and the lst time I looked I was n/a for DT, which I checked is still the status showing for another group member I know has always been an iStock exclusive.
Just pointing this out as I don't want an iStock exclusive witch-hunt.

I have been tinkering with the system a bit this weekend, which is why there is that mistake - it is showing everyone with 0 portfolio and 0 sales in the ranking. I'll get it fixed right away.

There is now a "Rank" heading on the top of the site - where you can see how you compare to everyone else. It will also show the change from week to week (starting next week)
