there has been a coulple of twitter threads before but that is a quite a few months ago now so I am guessing there are quite a few members.

It would be nice to build a list in this thread of all the msg twitter names.. so just quote reply and add yours to the list... (preferably a link)

I had to search my email to find it, as I don't use it at all.

one thing that is fun with twitter is searching for things.  Try searching for you home town, or if you are watching some tv live, search for the name of the show and find what search tag people are using.  Sometimes there are some funny / interesting comments.  If there is a news story try searching for that and you will see news tid bits from people who are there.

@joshhphoto - Am retweeting relevant tips and links as well a bit about daily shoots and developing. Would be honoured to have some more followers.. Might motivate me to be more active on it.

Also, here is a photography resource list posted by Photopreneur that will guaranteed be useful for some. http://blogs.photopreneur.com/twitter-photography-resources-list

I just joined recently - still working it out, but I've been able to get it to feed into my webpage as a little mini-update of what's happening or where I am... will see how it goes!

I've found it a bother.  Too much trivial BS to sort thru.  Maybe I haven't learned how to use it.

It took me a while to figure out Twitter.  Now I use it a lot, as a replacement for blogging (I've hacked my blog to put up each day's tweets as a post) and as a lightweight conversation.  It's sort of an online cocktail party, and one I can maintain from my laptop or my phone as time and inspiration permit.

One other factor in my increasing use of Twitter is its integration with Facebook.  By setting up the FB Twitter app, my tweets become my new Facebook status.  So friends can see and comment on whatever I find interesting or entertaining in both places with only one effort on my part.  Efficient and pointless!

I don't know, everytime I log in and see that "what are you doing now?" or whatever is the question, I wonder what is the purpose of it.  Well, I can see a purpose if I want to say I have uploaded a particular set of new images, but saying "I got an EL today" or "I'm waiting for the plumber to fix the kitchen faucet" seems so useless...

I don't see the point of a blog either, except if you are a journalist or a person travelling around the world for one year...

Twitter is quite powerful in getting information, promote blogs and products,  do some networking, the downside is that you have to spend a lot of time on it....
