If anyone feels there are too many threads on this (or any other) subject, they can easily ignore the boards you want by editing your profile preferences

Profile  then Modify Profile > Ignore Board Preferences
or click here
http://www.microstockgroup.com/profile/?area=ignoreboards

By checking threads on the "Ignore Board Preferences" page, does that stop those threads from showing up on the "Home" page for me?

Thanks for running such a great site!

Yeah, it stops the board from showing up on the front page or if you visit the new posts page etc..  You can still see it if you view the board through the Forum link.

Hmmm... Doesn't seem to be working that way for me.

Edit: I didn't realize that you had to check sub-forums, too for it to work. All set now!

Yes just checking Symbiostock didn't do it, I had to check all the sub-topics.

Yay! Now I'm no longer viewing the "All Symbiostock Channel".  :-)

I'm always a little self-conscious we are dominating the top page a little too much. The same would happen if anyone else brought their main forums into here.

At any time (if its Leaf's wish) we can take certain forums over to the www.symbiostock.com site. The site is not ready yet, but it could happen. Just keep me posted.

How is it any different than the multitudes of istock threads?  ;D

If people weren't interested in discussing Symbiostock there wouldn't be lots of threads at the top.  If I felt there were to many dominating the front page I could remove those boards from appearing on the front page - I've not done so as I feel it is easier to let people decide for themselves what they want to show on the front page.

Great. Some days I feel like a spammer.

I regard the number of SY threads dominating over "complain about IS" thread as a very welcomed trend. Like a hint of light on the horizon after a long arctic night. I hope we will see SY (or Self-Hosted) rise like a tropical morning sun in the poll results, soon.  :)

That's why he gave you your own section to keep you away from the rest of the people?  ;D SY solitary, that's what it is...

Shouldn't all these threads be over there anyway?

How many people have been banned from the symbiostock forums?

I dont really see how that is relevant. Leo got permission from leaf. You can ignore the boards if you think they are pesky. Enough said.  :)

Couldn't agree more!

I think symbiostock threads are the only meaningful ones around here at the moment. it is the ultimate glory of independent contributors.

while nobody cares about istock threads apart from exclusives.

I suspect as things progress the "help" and development update conversation will move to a dedicated Symbiostock site but in the meantime I think it's fantastic that Leaf is supporting the project by hosting the conversations.  Anyone that doesn't want to see them does have the option to easily hide them and the visibility here is bringing a new option to the attention of a wider audience.  I look forward to the day we see the Symbiostock posts talking about growing sales and wild success instead of all the tech talk.

Oh common. Tech talk is fun. Pretty soon you'll have your own Symbiostock t-shirt to put by your starwars t-shirts and whear it while you listen to Weird Al Yankovic  and maintain your awesome personal stock photo site ...
