Topic: Verified Site Rep's ... now easily recognizable

(Read 2258 times)

« on: June 22, 2009, 15:56 »

Feel free to post your feedback on this.

In an effort to help everyone know where their information is coming from, I have implemented a feature where site reps, such as Rahul from Lookstat, Bryan and Aaron from Veer, Jon from Cutcaster, John from Cutcaster, the zymmetrical guy Smiley etc. etc. are easily noticeable.  For most of us who are here often these names are easy to recognize but for someone new, or if a new site rep joins the site, it is nice for people to know that the 'know it all' is actually someone who DOES know what is going on and responding for the company.

Additionally, although it hasn't happened yet, it will make it more difficult (or impossible) for people to pretend that they are site reps giving our wrong or harmful information.

Do you not have a verified label and think you should have (or would like one)?  send me a PM.  Or better yet, send me a private message within the site you are representing and tell me your user name on MSG.

also, I realize the implementation isn't the most beautiful.  Hopefully I can improve on this soon.

You can see it in action in this thread where Rahul has posted.

Good idea, Leaf.  In that same thread, however, I don't see such a tag for Zymmetrical - isn't he an official Zymm staff?

On my screen, the right half is cut off. Is that just because I have a wimpy monitor? Smiley

yes.. you need a bigger monitor.

I have fixed it now so they shouldn't be cut off, but then the images get awfully small... hmmmm  perhaps it is alright though.  They are less obtrusive now which is nice.

It's not too small for me, but it may be for you guys with super 32in screens.  But then you can't see the other icosn, can you?  Cheesy

I think it is a fine size now, the same width as the avatar. As long as you have a consistent element to each of the icons, it doesn't have to be huge.

Can I have one for my tupperware business?

LOL, why, are you gonna start making official Tupperware announcements that might be called into question?

Sean - I wonder if a self-portrait of with a current newspaper and several tupperware items should be sufficient proof for verification purposes.
