Hi all!

Does anybody know how to close ones account and remove all images from Snapvillage?

Since the site is dead and they already have let me know I will not have my images moved to Veer, I want to take them off the site. Snapvillage is still searchable and I don't know anything about when they will close it down completely. I can't find any information about this on their site.

How have you done with your content there? Should I just keep everything as is until it disappears by itself? What do you think?  Huh

Why not email them?  I would leave it, as long as they will still pay you if there are any sales.

I wouldn't bother spending too much time figuring it out.  I am sure that when they do finally close the site for good (probably when Veer Marketplace opens officially, or comes out of beta) that they will pay out peoples earnings and delete non active accounts.

OK. Thanks for your replies. I'll just let everything stay for now. And hope that they will delete my account soon.

Don't you think it's odd though that they give no information at all that the site is going "off the air"? They still market it towards new customers. I would be pretty pissed off if I started a subscription there only to have the site die on me soon...

I only uploaded 10 images to SV in the beginning, but since it took them months to come up with a decent watermark I deleted 7. The remaining 3 were easy to remove when I got the email that the my 3-image "portfolio" wasn't moved to Veer. So I have 0 pictures now on SV, that's the same as "account removed".

I don't think I will upload to Veer. Their requirements sound too special, like 250 as highest level, and models birthdays on releases. I heard the royalties are only 30%, in fact 20% since they are US based. I want to hear first from contributors here.

I sent them an email and within a day or two they wrote back to ask why I was deleting my file.  I told them (switching to 100% exclusive Fotolia) and they immediately issued me my credits and closed my account.  I was very impressed with the speed of their response.

I just deleted my account. You email them and tell them. I have raised issues before about their lack of attention to detail. I logged in again to find 11 x 30 cent sales when my minimum price is $50 and I do not allow subscription sales. I was fed up with trying to get answers about why this is continuing to happen.

I emailed last week and they told me if they closed my account (deleted my images), I would have to forfit my 11.00 in earnings, or I could delete them one by one (over 300 images).

I thought that was kind of cheesy!
