No sales in awhile. I only have 20 files online there. Not going to bother uploading everything until they have FTP and show signs of actually trying to be successful.

There was this horrible odor coming from the site. And when they forced opened the trunk...

I have made $5.70 there so far.  As I wasn't around when istock etc. started, it is hard to know how well new sites are doing.  They seem to be doing much better than Albumo who started at around the same time.  They don't need to improve much to catch up with Lucky Oliver, who seem to have been around for a long time.

I was with StockXpert from the beginning and it took months and months for them to get sales going.  Hence, Beta. Look at them now!

Patience people.

Would you invite guests over for dinner if the pantry was still empty.

They just announced that they had 125,000 photos online. How are they going to get there if everyone stops uploading.

This is a good chance to get your portfolio loaded - (think about rejections at the big five...
sorry but we have enough photos in that category)

Okay, okay Nazdravie - I'll stop calling SV Slappertown.

Perhaps Penelope is right, and in a couple of years we'll all be gasping at the huge customer base and thousands of downloads.

But they haven't exactly got off to a whizzing start have they; I agree it's too early to invite the guests to dinner, all the more so as it seems SV doesn't even own a stove yet...

First impressions count a lot.  SV is making itself the laughing stock of the microstock industry.  I think we could have (rightly) expected better from Corbis.

Today’s announcement demonstrates the continuing momentum of SnapVillage, including adding support for IPTC and XMP metadata extraction, improved watermarking technology, search improvements and an improved and streamlined registration process.

In addition, the site plans to introduce a bulk upload feature within the next few months.

SnapVillage has no membership fees, accepts submissions from photographers virtually anywhere in the world and offers image licensing in the United States. While in beta, SnapVillage continues its commitment to actively listen and incorporate customer feedback while accelerating enhancements to the website.

Is anyone having problems uploading to them?  I got an original 28 uploaded and then after that I can't seem to get anything uploaded.  I wrote to them at least a week or so ago but haven't heard anything back.  Very frustrating...

I can't upload to Snapvillage. Everytime I try step 1, I see the uploading starting and then nothing, step 1 again. I'm using apple maybe that's the problem?

Claudia on Mac using Firefox for uploads rather than Safari works for me.

I'm on PC and I tried with both IE and FF and I was never able to upload... so I never did!

Maybe one day... when they find out what FTP is.
