I hope they cleared this ad with their parent company, Crestock.   ::)

Let's keep the communication lines wide open in the near future.  I'd be interested to know if contributors start seeing movement at Snapvillage.

I saw the latest Snap Village ad bragged about on their blog. As impossible as it seems, IMHO, the latest ad is even worse than the first. Look at it for yourself. I hope it's not just me. I'm embarrassed for them paying for such junk advertising.

Anyway, my negative comments were on their blog for maybe an hour before someone snapped it away. And I was being more than charitable with my critique. I hope they don't delete my images also.

I actually thought it was better than the first one. (I have certainly seen much worse.)

Oh well...maybe it will kick start some sales.  :)

SnapVillage, the innovative microstock website empowered by Corbis, wants to help creatives unleash their wildest creative impulses! Today, SnapVillage launched a design contest in which creatives craft bogus advertisements using images from SnapVillage.com and forget about that pesky "client approval" thing for a change.

Heres how it works: create a cool (fake) ad using a SnapVillage image, email it to contactus@snapvillage.com and theyll send you a free SnapVillage t-shirt (be sure to include mailing address and shirt size). But that's not all - their ad may even be featured in a future SnapVillage ad or on the SnapVillage website!

Let me know if you would like additional information around this latest effort by SnapVillage, including the contest flier and some of the example bogus ads. And remember "Big ideas are more important than big budgets."

Best,
Shannon Paulk
