We are happy to announce today our newest feature developed in cooperation with the german stock agency Westend61: Supplier Accounts.

How often have you tried to share revenue with somebody with whom you worked? Ever tried the deal: "I'll give you 20% of the revenues on these images"?

Well if you have, then our new Supplier Accounts will make it real easy for you to do just such deals. The Supplier Accounts allows you to give a Supplier access to revenue data of just a subset of your images, for instance the images the supplier worked on. They can then easily see how good the images are doing, and if you pay them a percentage of such revenue, they can understand exactly how much that is.

It's transparent and trustworthy and will improve your relationship to your suppliers.

We wrote a little bit more about it on our blog:

Let us know if you have any questions,
Luis

That is great news Luis! I hear many people make a deal with models, for instance that they split the revenue from the shooting in a certain percentage. This will make it much easier to do such arrangements!

Glad you like it Jasmin! With such supplier accounts people can now risk more if they share revenue with models.  Like that they dont have to pay upfront and models can benefit from the shoot if they do a good job.

Although personally, in the case of models, I would recommend to limit the time you do revenue sharing to a year or two. For example you could tell a model you will pay him or her 20% of revenue for one year, and afterwards all revenue is yours.

Like that you are not dependent on a model for the full life of the images and they benefit from the first year of revenue which is usually the strongest period.

I don't know much about this software...but does it work with Symbiostock sites?

The Supplier Account information works with all the agencies we already support. Symbiostock is not there yet, but we are always adding support for new sites. Give it a try as it is now and see if it's something you like!

Cheers
Luis
