Happy read this! Rock on Stocksy you treat the photographer well so may others learn from your success and if not may you squash them like a bug!

Congrats!  Good to hear that a startup can become profitable in such a short time....shows there is a desire on the part of buyers for something new and different.

Long may the alternatives flourish and stay profitable while paying contributors decent royalties. Nice to have some good news

Cool stuff. Still hoping for the day when Stocksy takes illustrations, so maybe I can get in on the fun.

Great news.

Didn't I hear that Corbis still hasn't turned a profit?  Or is that just urban legend?

Either way.. rock on Stocksy.  It would be great if stocksy really made a spash (or waves) in the industry and agencies started fighting for the attention of the photographer instead of just fighting for the buyer.

... and in the realm of sites reporting good news:

http://news.cnet.com/8301-1023_3-57606707-93/stocksy-stock-image-site-expects-profit-in-november/

It can't be true. We all have heard that royalty percentages over 20% are totally unsustainable!

That's pretty impressive in such a short space of time. They've obviously got a team that knows how to sell as well as great content. Well done.

Congrats! I'm happy to see that it's possible despite the skepticism of some people. As I said in the past this co-op is a good thing, I don't care if they don't fit my production or if I can't join here, the point is that they are the evidence that this race to the bottom is stupid and my hope is that more company like this born.
Again great news and congrats.
