Perhaps they couldn't get enough images opted in through istock?  $0.25 is a poor deal and I wont go along with it.

Same here (knock wood). I hope that Getty is abandoning their plan to replace StockXpert images with IS ones on JIU. IS has been rejecting a higher percentage of my simpler 'clip art' vectors, and I am convinced that this is their policy. They want only more complex vectors, no matter the commercial value or lack thereof. My simple vectors far outsell my complex ones, and clip art sells great on JIU. Even if my IS images sell well on JIU, I will still lose most of my revenue there because IS rejects my best images.

I was wondering the same. Let's hope they continue their business. StockXpert/JIU/Photos earnings are still steady.

I had guessed the same thing. I really hope they have reconsidered and decided to leave well-enough alone.   If so, I doubt there will be any big announcement of a policy reversal.

Sales at Photos and JIU are good, and I will happily leave my images there for the .30 I am getting, but won't be chasing after that .25 through Istock.

IS reported a figure of 900K images 'donated' but I'd imagine that's unlikely to impress JIU/PC customers who could lose over 3M from the existing collection. Like Lisa, there's no way out of principle that I'd be signing up for JUI/PC subscriptions via IS.

My sales have rising steadily for the last 4 months at StockXpert, almost back to their peak, so I too hope that they just leave it well alone. Talk of the 'partnership' has gone very quiet at IS so maybe they have finally seen sense at Getty and, having already postponed it for 3 months, will eventually drop it completely. The CV issue alone would be difficult to overcome.

I assume they postponed it due to technical difficulties (perhaps with the CV, that would make sense). I doubt (but very much hope) that they will abandon the idea. (The official reason given was "coordination between all the different sites, cities, and offices involved". Interpret that as you will.)

The timeframe given was "fall", which could be as late as December and still be on time.  Grin

StockXpert is generating the same amount of money for me. It would be a real shame if they close it.

I look at my iStok port an see that in last month of 40 uploaded images only 2 of them has DL from iStock site, others not one at all but amount 100 view ratio. From my POW I don change anything about "needed quality" even I realize that I have better acceptance ratio this month or two but rare sales of new images.
I am so suspicious that they somehow in search engine put all non exclusives back to have no sales or under 4 dls and after eg 18 or some months that images will be on available on JU or Photos.konj
I think that they want to kick out from they site all nonexclusives in 2 years period.
Even with that kind of dirty game they cant feed YU and PHO... so I think that we will "enjoy" much more months on XP with exsisting YU and PHO sales...
