Topic: How are peeps doing at StockXpert?

How is everyone doing at StockXpert?

I was interested to see the comment by andresr that his sales are running at only 50% of November levels.  My own sales are down 30%, but in money terms the drop is 40%.

The first week of February continues the 40% reduction in income.

I see an increase in subscription sales at the expense of L and XL sales, and this probably explains the drop.  I have to say I'm not happy about this.

On present evidence I feel somewhat 'baited and switched'; a year spent uploading based on good sales and 50% commissions, only to find the agency then 'switches' at the expense of my own income.

I hope I am wrong and that this is just a dull period for StockXpert.  But my gut feel is that for photographers the good times at StockXpert are over...

I've been with them since October and never understood what all of the buzz was about. They come in about 10-20% under BigStock and slightly ahead of 123RF.  It has been pretty consistent for 4 months running.  Nice added income to have, but a pretty small portion of my overall earnings.

august was my best month there since then I experience decrease. but it still is not too bad  all other sites improving  but StockXpert going down that may not be a good sign  I am afraid

In January, only Canstock did worse. Feb is looking no better.

BME was October. November was lower, but since then, no change really.

January was about the same as November, December lower as expected.

First week in February is on target to be the same as Nov and Jan.

As happens most months, they are almost exactly level with FT and BS.

There was a slump over Christmas and January but this week has been back to normal.  I think this is just a seasonal thing.

StockXpert has never been a prime income source of mine and last month things were even worse than they normally are. Sales are looking healthier this month, though, and my income from them should be back at the expected level. Here's the same thing graphically:

Fingers crossed that you are right sharpshot, and this thing is just seasonal.

I do, however, have a feeling in me ol' bones, and as you know my bones should not be ignored.......

So far this year, my total sales are around 80% over the same period last year. One of very few exceptions is StockXpert, which is sinking at an alarming rate. If they have convinced a lot of customers to go for subscriptions, that may be one of the reasons. I've opted out of that one, and if that is really the case, they may as well die a sudden death if you ask me.

Their reviewers seem to have done just that btw. I haven't had an image reviewed there in many weeks. Did they forget to feed them?

Correction: suddenly, they have reviewed all  my images. They even approved a couple of them  Grin

November was a great month for me, then Dec and Jan slowed down a bit, back to the previous average, now Feb is bad so far and at the current rate this will be a very poor month for me there.  Pity, I liked StockXpert so much!  Sad

It came in 3rd for me last month, down from 2nd. Sales are slowing it seems. Dreamstime on the other hand is really picking up. So is Fotolia and Istock.

I'm not to familiar with StockXpert, but when I go to "My Account" I see a mixture of both.
I have .30, .50, and $1.50 DL's

I assume .30 are subcriptions, and thew rest are credits.

Be well,

They've gone nuts.   Shocked

My last batch of images took about 3 weeks to be reviewed. They've just been done and most were rejected for not having a model release. All the rejected pictures, except one, showed people who were either far too small to be identified or were in back view so completely unidentifiable.

The one other that was rejected was of my dog, sitting on an empty road that stretched away towards the horizon. Not a human in sight.

What do they want? A paw-print on the model release? That's what I'm gonna send 'em   Wink

Miz... you opted in for subs?   Shock horror!!

Maunger:  Don't they have a dedicated person for new aps?  Thinking back when I signed up this individual left and they were training someone and it was delayed.  Unless my alzheimers has scrambled my memory...

For those of you waiting weeks for a reviewer, I suspect you did not load your images correctly.

Assuming you used FTP to upload your images, there is one more step you must complete.
the images below will be of some help.

Click My Images on the front page.

Click the tab that says "StockXpert Briefcase"

Finaly transfer any images in the list to "Transfer to Gallery" Button.

Your images are NOW loaded correctly and will now be reviewed.

I hope this helps. Of and one more thought. I have currentl uploaded 281 images in total.
NOT ONE WAS REJECTED for any reason, 100% acceptance.

Best to you all,
The MIZ

The last time I uploaded, which was only a couple days ago, it took less than 24 hours for them to get reviewed. (and approved)
