Go to edit profile and un-check the tick box in section 6.

Personally I favor opting in, this month has been fantastic, I believe that the extra sub downloads on the images have helped my images stay at the top of the most popular search default, and brought in more credit sales.

Are you unchecking the box but the box remains checked after you save?

I don't think you are doing anything wrong. This is happening with some other contributors too. I've tried it with my account and it works fine, and it seems to work fine for others as well.

I've put in a ticket with tech support about it.

Thanks!

Steve-Oh,

Just wanted to say "Thanks!" to StockXpert for making their subscription sales optional.  My sales have not suffered at all since I opted out, but on Dreamstime yesterday I had all subscription sales.  Bummer.

I am not able to opt out either.

I am experiencing the same thing mentioned in this thread - subscription sales are pulling nearly even with credit sales and as a result my income at StockXpert is dropping. And most of my subscription sales are XL also, while most of my credit sales have fallen to medium or below.

Would be nice if they would consider offering medium and lower at subscription level but save L and XL for credit purchases.

I have been quite willing to give the subscription model a chance on StockXpert but am disappointed to watch my income fall there even as my DL numbers go up...

I posted in the other thread too, but I tried to opt out today and couldn't.

Same trend as Lisa noted - subscription sales up and not enough L and XL credit sales to keep the $$ per download up.

I tried to opt out and although I get a "success" message, it doesn't work.  Also opting out of partnerships doesn't work.  Disabling ELs works.

At this time I'm glad to having opted-out. While I probably missed many subs sales Cheesy

Just wanted to note here that StockXpert has fixed the bug that made opting out impossible. I just opted out and was able to do a search and see that the "sub" button was gone for my images.

Today's download total was 5 subscription and 5 credits - not good.

Yes, I've just opted out too.

I must say that I supported Steve and StockXpert when they launched subscriptions, and I believed the story that they were/are looking for a different type of customer.  However the proof of the pudding is that XL sales have mostly disappeared and have been replaced with subscriptions; as Lisafx says: sales are going up and income is going down.

I'll monitor what happens over the coming month.

BTW I do have a problem with the 'most popular' search at StockXpert which has such a massive emphasis on 'new' that it probably exceeds SS in this respect.  I dunno what others have seen, but in my portfolio a 'most popular' search places new images with zero downloads in front of established pictures with lots of downloads.  Whenever I look at it I think 'how on earth can a picture with zero downloads be more popular than an image with 40 sales'.  According to Steve the 'newness' factor reduces over a couple of months.

All in all this looks like a straight attempt to copy Shutterstock.

Shame.  StockXpert were make such good progress for me until recently.

I opted out of subs at StockXpert from the start. There wasn't much change in the beginning, but the last couple of months, the number of sales has fallen dramatically.

Same thing here. A sudden drop this month, StockXpert is less than 3% of sales for March so far.

I had assumed it was because we haven't uploaded recently. I won't opt in though.

SS seems to be down for many people, seems likely it's the increased competition from StockXpert and DT.

I'm feeling more and more that exclusive on IS is the way to go. I just hope they don't start subs Cry

From my experience opt out was good decision, downloads are the same or slightly increased,
most important earnings  going up

Subs sales are still in a tolerable portion for me (<20%), but I've also noticed for the first time this month that no credit sale was L or above.  Last month L/XL/XXL sales were more than subs sales, so I wasn't so upset.  Let's see how the month develop.

I decided to give StockXpert a credit by opting-in from the start, as they at least gave us that option, what is a sign of consideration towards contributors.  And subs were not being a big issue to me.  This recent trend however is very deceptive.

Adelaide

First day after cancelling subs and I've had five sales - 4 M and 1 XL.  Of course I'm wondering whether that XL would have been a sub, but I'll never know.

One day does not a trend make, but I suppose I'm at least relieved that sales didn't completely dive after opting out.
