I bet you wonder why I wrote this?

The idea is that other thread which was taken over by a bazillion other topics, can keep going, but I thought it would be nice to have one that is actually about what the subject says.

Hey look, on the 17th the January earnings were posted from ThinkStock.

Just hoping there can be one earnings thread and one "everything Getty does sucks" thread. Wink

So why was this topic created in the 'Stockxpert' forum? I don't see how it relates to StockXpert.

Does this relate to ThinkStock earnings only then? I thought those were mainly posted at Istock. So this thread is actually just for "January 2011 ThinkStock at StockXpert Earnings" then?

I think it just relates to the earnings posted on StockXpert, yeah, I don't actually know if the earnings are posted on iStock and StockXpert at the same time.  i think maybe not, I don't pay enough attention to my iStock third party earnings.

It is a big mess though, but essentially - for the images that went from StockXpert -> ThinkStock, all those earnings are posted on StockXpert.  For the images that went from iStock -> ThinkStock, those earnings are posted on iStock.

Exactly, and usually IS lags a week or so behind StockXpert in posting the earnings - so for January I'd expect them on Thursday or Friday this week...

We received them in order, or so we all believe.  Assuming that's correct, I got November's earnings on February 1st & 2nd, December on February 4th, and January on February 17th.

Thanks! But if its true, that brings me less money than the average there! strange!

So why was this topic created in the 'Stockxpert' forum? I don't see how it relates to StockXpert.

Yes it is confusing because some people who never applied or qualified for IS only have StockXpert accounts. Their sales from ThinkStock are reported on StockXpert.

Some people never had or cut their StockXpert images, but they have partner program on IS. Any one getting PP sales from their IS images, on YSP, gets them reported on IS.

Photos.com appears to have IS Partner Program images. Those are also reported on IS. I don't know if Photos.com has our images from elsewhere?

There may be others, but the StockXpert people don't have IS accounts, so their sales are reported on StockXpert. Some of us have both so we get reports in two places.

But in the end, most of ThinkStock is old agency collections that Getty has housed under one roof and I still contend that they could have the site without any PP from IS and without anything from StockXpert and probably find nothing different on their end. It would probably make the majority of people happy, except the small number of StockXpert hangers, if Getty just dropped PP and StockXpert sales and moved on. It would bother me either way. Until then, if they want to give me money for images that aren't for sale anywhere else, I'll take it.

Hope that helped, but it's still a mess. Cheesy

Great, I have found some money, in there... Wink Totally, 42$. Not bad, for a month. It is good to know that they are still promoting my stuff. Thank you, Stockxpert, or Thinkstock, or whatever... Good luck everyone.

Anyone, have a clue how to submit to Thinkstock? If not on Istock, as an accepted contributor? Thanks!

^^^ Huh, are you really sure you gave it enough thoughts? 42$ for what? 168 sales? 0.25 a license? Is that something you should be thankful for?

Yes, I am thankful. Why shouldn't I? How much did you do on Stockxpert now? 3000$ every month? I don't contribute any more in there, and the money are still coming, this is great for me.

Yes, a number of clues:

There is only one way now, be an accepted IS contributor and allow Partner Program "PP" sales from there. All images are not automatically sold on ThinkStock. It also seems that nothing has moved from IS to ThinkStock in six months. That's not for sure, but from various reports from individuals.

Previously anyone who was accepted at StockXpert could have their portfolio transferred to ThinkStock, but we had no choice, they went through a migration review, so some photos didn't make it.

Not confusing enough? IS also has partner sales on Photos.Com from the partner program, but not necessarily the same images that got selected for ThinkStock. So some things I have are for sale on three sites, some on two and a small number only on one. Good luck!

Here's the good news, they are now offering 28c per download (12% raise for those who like percentages) with is a huge 2 cents less than when people were happy with Photos.Com sales. Maybe people can make that up in volume? Wink Every extra sale covers the shortage for each 14 sales that they used to get on Photos.com. In no time it will add up to enough for a McDonalds dollar menu item.

My first download on ThinkStock was July 2010, one sale for the whole month. Last StockXpert commissions were listed as January 2010. OD downloads were $1 and subs were 30 cents.

So if you were going to jump in for the 28c sales, too bad, you need to be accepted at IS or there's no way to get images up for Sub sales on ThinkStock. (or Photos.com if I read that site right?)  Photos.com is not affiliated with StockXpert

Thanks a lot, Race Photo. You've been the only one with a good response to my question.
Wish you great sales, everywhere.
