Topic: Problem With StockXpert

I am relatively new at this and a little frustrated with StockXpert.  I was accepted my first try at SS, IS, LO etc.  I applied to StockXpert and it took them 5 weeks to get back to me.....said they needed 'more information' to reach a decision (I dunno..is that the same as not being accepted..I guess in retrospect)...they didn't ask for any specific type of submission but just said to upload 5 more (that was after I contacted them at week 4 to ask what was up as I was wondering if they somehow lost the application).  So that very same day (Feb 28th) I uploaded 5 more and haven't heard back since.  I have sent them 2 e-mails from their website asking if there was a problem but no response at all....

I still have not heard from them and don't even have a response within the messages they can deliver directly to your account from within the website since my Feb 28th response.  However, I do notice that I can click on and access the upload page....I don't totally remember, but I seem to recall that originally I was not able to access this page...so I am wondering if they might have approved my account and not informed me.

I guess what I am asking is this:

Does anyone remember if you are able to access the upload page if you hav not been approved?

Any suggestions as to how to proceed from here if I can't get any response form them?  I hesitate to just go ahead and upload as I am sure I will be the recipient of their wrath or at least get the images rejected if it turns out that I have not been officially approved?

Suggestions?

I don't remember them sending an approval notice.  Maybe you have been accepted and don't know it?    Go to "My Account" then "My Images", if there's images there, what colour are the buttons?  Green means approved.   A whitish colour means pending.  If you hover over the button a pop up will appear telling you reasons for refusal, or suggestions to repair.  You can also access a "view gallery" button from here.

When I go to My Images it just says there are no images in the gallery.  I didn't know if the images you apply with automatically get put into your portfolio or if they have to be resubmitted after acceptance like at several other agencies.  Anyway, there are no images there.

Would you recommend trying to upload in this situation without having received any notification or am I setting myself up for trouble by doing that?

Hm...  I'm just looking at my messages tab under "my account" and all of my correspondence from them is still there.  Did you say that there is no message there for you?

Well, try sending one through the upload page then.  If you can't upload, I'm sure it will let you know as soon as you hit submit.

The original "Artists Application Incomplete" letter is there, but no correspondence since.  And no replies to the two e-mails I sent them from the form on their website.  Nothing since Feb 28th.  Maybe I will try to upload one and just see what happens.

It sounds like your account is active and you may possibly be already approved. Your original images for your application are not added to your portfolio once you are accepted.

Have you tried submitting any images for review? I would try this.

I can't believe it.  I just submitted an image and it was literally approved in 30 seconds!

I have been waiting for weeks for this.  In the beginning I couldn't access that page and I tried several times.  You would think they would let you know!  Well, I guess I really shouldn't complain...after all, I'm in!

Thanks for the recommendation to go ahead.

Must be nice.  My last batch has been sitting for 11 days now waiting for review.  I really wish they'd get their sh** together over there.

I have to say that after posting my problem here I got a personal reply from StockXpert via e-mail...the personal touch is always good for any business.  Yup, my account is active and I have started uploading...thanks!
