I quite like this shot but currently lost in obscurity would be nice to see it climb up the ranks

Thanks Leaf one postscript "copy image location" seems to be an option on firefox not IE7 if I had been using that brower initially I may have randomly figured it out myself

NB remember you need to be logged in to StockXpert top rate images

/sigh/

... looks like the nefarious 9/10 critic is continuing to make the rounds.

Yes, I was also hit with a 9 as well.  Pretty rude if you ask me, especially if they are a member of this forum.

I just checked my portfolio and I found more images that were given very low ratings.  It looks like someone gave me a 5 or 6 on one image and a 1 on another.

One of my most popular images was hit:

http://www.stockxpert.com/browse.phtml?f=view&id=116965

As well as two other images that sell well on most sites:

http://www.stockxpert.com/browse.phtml?f=view&id=187446

http://www.stockxpert.com/browse.phtml?f=view&id=644092

PLEASE DON'T RATE IMAGES LESS THAN A 10.  IT CAN AFFECT SALES.  IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE IMAGE, THEN JUST MOVE ON.  IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO PROVIDE CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM, THEN DO IT THROUGH SITEMAIL OR EMAIL.

Wow, 9/10 is rude, but 1/10 is offensive.

Sorry to hear about your situation, GeoPappas. Hopefully it won't impact your sales too much.

Well they all got a perfect 10 from me. They are IMO excellent images. I hope this deservingly boosts the averages.

Well, I'm not on StockXpert so my thoughts don't affect much.... but, it always kindof troubled me that ANYONE can rate a photo at some of these sites.  I personally think that the only ratings should be done by someone who has actually purchased it.  I know from experience buying at another agency that it is quite disappointing when you download the "perfect" image and it is too blurry to use in a poster.

I'm more than thrilled to rate a photo that I like of a stranger, or to add nice comments to friend's pix.   I would NEVER rate someone poorly unless I paid for it and wasn't satisfied....  Remember what mother always said... if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

I only give the top rating.  Can we see who has given us the ratings with StockXpert?  If not, it is easy for someone to try and lift their photos up the search rankings by giving low ratings to the competition.  At least with istock we can work out who is doing this.

I cant figure out how their search works.  I did a search and my photos were topped by ones with loss sales and lower ratings (sojme ever with 0 and 0).

Surely it doesn't go on views??
