StockXpert requested property release in these two shots. Any idea why? Brand names in the phone and radio were cloned out.

because it is inside a room, where potentially the owner could recognize his property.. StockXpert is one of the hardest on these things.. I have also had this issue before, I think it's overboard, but that is most likely the issue..

Also it looks like a hotel room and it might be a recognisable branded colour scheme for the decor too.

It is a hotel room and I clearly state that. Oh well. It must be some recent policy, as I have uploaded hotel rooms and hotel restrooms before. Thanks guys.

yeah i just assume anything that someone MAY own is going to get rejected on StockXpert

They're the biggest sticklers for property release by far.

I would guess that due to the unique design of the hotel room, it is quite recognizable ... to the owner.

place is going litigious crazy. So you cannot photograph a motel room now.

StockXpert made the correct decision. The wall pattern in particular potentially identifies the hotel chain. Regardless, I'm not sure what this picture is supposed to convey or "sell." It's a messy bed, even the mattress protector is half off.

Yes Adelaide - I suspect a change in policy.
I had a property accepted a few months back with no release, and last week one rejected>

Dan, guess what is the title I have to those images? "Messy bed" Cheesy

Some messy beds had lots of sales in IS, so I guess there is a market for this (even if not for my images).

The type of lamp, the design on the drapes, the back panel of the bed could have all been made specifically for a chain of hotels where it would be easy for them to prove that the images were taken in one of their rooms.

If you go to all the hassle of getting a property release, you are wasting your effort selling them via micro. There are plenty of big end photo sites where the return is worth the effort.

Even try approaching that particular hotel chain too, Adelaide. I once got a 6 month assignment simply because I just happen to say to a photographer in Regina, Sask telling that " I am a photographer too, but I am only just passing through while visiting my parents" . Opportunites knock in the strangest places.

It is BS... I got few rejection for similar reasons too - last one was taxi boats from beach 'zlatni rat' taken in croatia on sea which is PUBLIC PROPERTY and can be considered as street shot... Never mind - deleted it on StockXpert and forgot on that.

I can reconstruct any interior from any place of the world in say studio conditions as well as on some 3D modeling software...

So, anything 'recognizable' to potential owner could be recognized by some other potential owner from other part of the planet especially in your case.

It is not clear where are windows in that particular room, where are doors and so on... So, you may say that it would not keep water in any court on this planet because it is just a detail - not whole property. Nevertheless, seems that any studio setup need property release ;-)
