For the first time StockXpert is neck & neck for earnings this month with SS for me. All of a sudden the last two months , StockXpert has been flying. I also do not have the same size portfolio at Stockxpert, it being smaller than SS.

Is anyone else expierencing this?

They changed the default sort order to Most Downloaded.

Some people have noticed increases, while others have noticed decreases.

According to StockXpert admin, the switch in sort order has increased total sales by 30%.

The result is quite obviously that those who sold well there before, will get more sales. For me, StockXpert is going in the wrong direction. DT on the other hand, is rocketing. 55% increase from December to January and 38% from January to February Grin

You keep saying this and as I didn't read this announcement just wondering if you can clarify. Did they say the change resulted ina 30% increase or just that they had a 30% increase??

Photoguy - Second half of last month was great though this month is going slow.

CJPhoto.........interesting, this month is starting better than last on StockXpert for me.

Epixx............I joined StockXpert quite sometime ago, around the time they started, my sales were great as the company got going, then all the "Big Shooters" found them and my sales started declining steadily. Then a couple months ago, sales started getting better, as of today my March earnings are the same as SS, so if StockXpert has done something it sure has helped me.

Here are the exact quotes from StockXpert Admin:

"We were doing this as a test to see if it improves sales because if customers see the most popular images by default, they might by more images."

"Sales are going up like crazy (there's been a 30% increase in the last two weeks)..."

The statements were in reference to a thread which was about the default search result changes.

So it seems that the 30% increase was a direct result of a change to the default search order.

Just read the tread and it seems it is due in main part to the new search.

Must be a hard decision for them, short term gain for long term pain if they keep the current search as there is no incentive for new photos and "popular photos" will be out of date/smaller etc.

Horrible for me since I've only been there about a month. Only 1 download. Compared to over 20 downloads a day average on Shutterstock.

It's been quite good for me, 2nd this month at the moment (DT is first and IS is third). Too early to say, but a good sign.

My St Patrick's illustrations ae selling well there.
