I receive around 90% subscriptions now. All I see is these nasty subs all over the earning sheet. While only 4 months ago I was having regular credits downloads. Anyone else see this at StockXpert?

My experience is the same as fotografer.  I am seeing a lot of subs - particularly from photos.com, but still about the same amount of per image sales on StockXpert.

I have like Vonkara 80-90% of subscriptions sales...

le cyclope, I think the search sorted by "most popular" work with how many downloads a file have. Or at least it give a push for the most downloaded ones. Then it can be advantaging to have them opted-in

My credits sales are about the half compared to january and february numbers. Subscription sale volumes are about 1,5 times higher than credit downloads but the revenue has not icreased. I got about 1/4 - 1/5 subs sales from photos.com rest is from StockXpert and few from jupiter. I hope the credit sales will regain but I'm afraid that StockXpert is changing to low volume subs site for some of us.

I opted out when subs started to be too many and I am very satisfied.  StockXpert is still one of my top sellers (top in August and so far also September).  I'm much happier not selling subs, even if losing money.

subs already outnumbered my ppd sales but my earnings is about the same( slightly less though)

I don't feel harmed by having opted-out. Of course my overall income would be greater, had I stayed opted-in. But I feel much better knowing I'm selling to people who pay a decent price for an image. StockXpert has been still my top seller, or close to it, every month.

Unfortunately, I think that subs will become more and more prevalent as time goes on.

I'm afraid I have to agree.  Overall sales this month are down for me, but subs are up.  I really don't want to opt out of subs, because that's rather like cutting off your nose to spite your face.  OTOH, I feel like I'm giving my hard work away.

hrhportia, i think most of the "photographers" already have... given their hard work away .. by opting in.
the sad reality is that, no matter how many of us opt out, these sites will still survive because they will always get tons of images from desperate newbies and / or amateurs who crave to call themselves stock photographers. and getting a check for 30 cents per image download is glory to them.  we are killing ourselves.

StockXpert became worst and worst with their subscriptions plans. Now I get 80% of subs easily. My overall incomes are quite down also and I now consider StockXpert the same as 123RF, while 2 months ago they was my second or third earner. The problem is simple as all my credit sales became subsciption sales. The amount is the same, but I receive this crappy 30 cents instead A great deal they said

yes, a great deal! but to the buyer and the stock site, not the photographer.

you know? a business client of mine just suggested something when i complained to him about subs. he said, if we are so keen on earning 30 cts on subs, why not have our own blog with all the same images and give it away like freeware.
then add, if you like it, a donation will be appreciated.
he thinks that will get us more than 30 cts.  maybe he is right about that.
freeware people have been known to get donations. if not, freeware would be defunct by now.
