I went ahead and removed my StockXpert portfolio.

I've never understood why contributors remove portfolios from micro sites, unless going exclusive on another, or as a sign of protest against new policies.

It doesn't really hurt me financially to do so, about the only thing that has sold there for a good long while is subscriptions through the partner programs, which essentially no longer exist.  So no loss really.  I know I can remove them now, who knows what the case may be in January.

I just saw Peter's announcement in the other (locked) thread.

Peter, if you are reading, I just wanted to thank you for creating a wonderful site and for letting us know what is going on with it now.  It is easier to make decisions when we have the facts.

Wishing you and the other Haap Media partners all the best in your new projects.  :)

Ditto. Thanks for StockXpert, it was my favourite and the most fair site.

Well, no one can tell.

Your post answered my question as to whether or not my images on StockXpert will be ported to the new site since I am also on iStock but with a much smaller portfolio due to upload limits ...

Quote from the StockXpert Forum link above:
"Actually JIU is being replaced by a new product in early 2010. If you are opted-in for subscriptions on StockXpert, your images will be on the new site."

Thanks again for your post.

LOL, you're one of those guys who think repeating the same thing often enough eventually makes it true?  ;D

Lisa + Massman:
Thank you very much! I know the site wasn't perfect in many ways but I'm proud that we has always strived to treat contributors fairly. This has always been a fundamental principle for us and it will always be.

By the way I probably have to make a new account here. This name doesn't belong to me any more.

I, too, am sorry to see StockXpert go. I did fairly well there over the past 3 years.

I opted out a few days ago.  I am still getting subs sales, hopefully they will remove my portfolio from the subs sites by Jan 1st.

If they sold, I would imagine they signed some sort of no-compete

I wondered for that too. Anyways, I signed up for the news. If they would start a new site I'm sure most StockXpert contributors would enter in high numbers.
