It looks like a part of last night's major revision was to change the default sort order (Popularity aka Best Match).  It also looks like the Popularity sort order is the same as the Downloads sort order now.  I'm not sure if this is by design or a bug.

This will probably cause a change in earnings for some members with earnings going up for some and earnings going down for others.

Hmm. I've always found StockXpert's default search order a bit weird and it seems to produce equally weird results too.

Does anyone else find that most of their sales on StockXpert come from a tiny proportion of their portfolio and almost invariably from fairly mediocre images that don't do particularly well elsewhere? It seems to me that most of my best stuff is ignored there in favour of a few ordinary images that just keep selling.

This is not my case.  Although there are different results with the same images accross the many sites, I don't notice anything abnormal in StockXpert sales.  My best sellers there have been good sellers elsewhere, and vice-versa.

Adelaide

yes, the download-search and the popularity-search seem to have same results. I guess its just a bug... there is no logical explanation for two different seacht-functions which bring up the same results.
I also noticed that lots of my images don't show up in the search.
I guess they just need some more time to work on that problems.... I can't imagine that this is the final result of the update.  ;D

I also have tried to search for some recently approved images and couldn't find them at all.  So it does seem like it is a bug of some sort.

If you drop into their forums there is quite a few site bugs being reported since the upgrade.

Yes, my referral link, like yours, returns this "We're sorry, but the page you have requested could not be found." But now I can login and I uploaded a file just to test, which didn't work this afternoon, and it appears to be working again. Before I'd get the you must login, for every page like others reported.

Maybe by tomorrow it will be back to normal.

ps October 17, 2008 pay per download sale, so I'd guess buyers are getting in OK?

Photo was approved in under two hours!

Yes, I had to dump my leaf referal link to the normal link. The separation is hard to handle :P

I haven't given up yet trying to get to my own link, but yes, the referral links are dead. One thing that we can be sure of is that no one is getting new StockXpert photographers referrals right now.

Stockxpert Affiliate program

Jupiterimages has teamed up with Commission Junction, the Web's #1 affiliate management partner, to bring you one of the most exciting opportunities on the Web!

By becoming a Jupiterimages affiliate, you will earn cold, hard cash and introduce your visitors to some of the best royalty-free images available on the Web. If you join, you'll earn 15% of every NEW sale.

Appears to be, only commission from photo buyers in the future.

Found this in the forums.

If you have an account with the old affiliate program, it still works and you can still use it to refer people.

We are not accepting new applications for the old program. New registrants must use CJ. Steve

Looks like the programmers are staying one step ahead of the answers.  ;D

I'd guess that with the new version of the software, no new photographer affiliates, (it doesn't say that, it's a guess) but you are supposed to still be earning from the old ones that signed up before the "new Deal".

Okay. Well now I know how many images I'll be putting up till this is fixed. Trying to swap in new versions of images is hit or miss too. (At least it was for vector files)  It kept giving me the login screen.
