About a month and a half ago I uploaded 30 images to StockXpert. I have a lot of views and zero downloads. Seems kind of strange that I'm getting downloads everywhere (IS, BigStock, 123RF, SS, DT, FT, LO and even Snapvillage) and nothing at StockXpert. Is this normal?

StockXpert was the last site I joined  of the 5 sites that I upload to.  Like you I found them very slow to get started but they are now slowly starting to catch up with fotolia and dreamstime.

The sales there are good for me, in third place behind SS and IS.  It does take a while to get views but sometimes new photos sell straight away.  I have been uploading there for a long time and have a big portfolio, so that must help.

They're in fifth place for me - behind FT & DT but ahead of BigStock & 123. I hoped to make more on there than I do.

Same as sharpshot....

After SS and  IS they are my 3rd best performer kicking Dreamstime and Fotolia to the curb by gettting a good few DLs most days,  that is only on a very small Porfolio of less than 200 Images

They are also my 3rd best performer after IS and SS, but the last 4 weeks have been very poor.

Their search algorithm does not seem to be contextual if you use for example the keyword "wheel" but the buyer searches for "wheels" and you haven't got "wheels" as a keyword then your image will not be found. Likewise "eat" and "eating", it's something to remember when keywording images.

A few months ago, StockXpert was on par with FOT and DRM, far away from ISP and SS.

Last month, StockXpert became clear #3 just after SS.

This month so far, StockXpert is... #1!

It seems that StockXpert does not perform well for everyone, but for me, it's quite impressive  Shocked

I am happy with my performance on StockXpert especially for the last few months things started to go well .now they are my 4th top earner and I think  it is getting better.

Like I said in another thread, on StockXpert this month in 10 days I made 60% of last month's earnings, which was already my BME there. In the past 6 months, StockXpert has been always one of my 3 best earners (best once, 2nd for a nail once).

It's quite curious how we have different experiences in each site.  Makes me wonder if we can establish a pattern of what sells better at each.

Regards,
Adelaide

Interesting stuff.  Just seems like it may take a bit for sales to kick in.

Thought it was odd that StockXpert seems to be a mid to top-level earner for most people and I've had nothing in over a month.  My first day at SS I had double-digit downloads and I even had a couple of downloads at LO and SV within a couple of weeks.

Thanks!

StockXpert seem to be making very good progress.  I have not noticed any reduction in sales (money) due to the subscription service.

Note that the preferred search algorithm (most popular) has an increased emphasis on 'newest first' rather like the most popular default at SS, so uploading regularly is important.  In fact when I looked at my own portfolio recently on a most popular search, new files with zero downloads are shown as 'more popular' than older files with ten or twenty sales; this emphasises how important the 'newness' factor has become in the 'most popular' algorithm.

Well, if that's the way the search works then shouldn't a new submitter like me get a surge of downloads and then taper off? I don't even have a subscription download.

My portfolio is small and may not be superstar quality (yet) but I would think it should generate something here. Or maybe my portfolio isn't a match for StockXpert. Is StockXpert known for good and poor sales with certain categories of images? (People, sports, etc)

Two days without a sale in StockXpert.  I'm starting to worry.  Undecided

Subscription sales are beginning to rival my regular sales at StockXpert - I had 8 today. Most of my subscription sales are XL size - most of my regulars are L.

I'm not getting many subs. yet.  I had 10 sales yesterday and none of them were subs.
I am getting more at DT now but the level  change has made up for the loss in price and my average sale price is usually near to 1.50$.  I'm getting quite a few sales of between 1.50$ and 4$.

OOPH!!  Finally sold one today, and non-subs. I was starting to think I had been banned from StockXpert!
