Topic: The "Popularity by Descending" sort

Does anybody remember if Steve or StockXpert ever described what the "Popularity" of an image depicted?  I had never noticed it before as a sort option.

When I sort my portfolio by popularity descending, I see the strangest results.  There are a few recent sellers near the top, but there are also older images with 0 downloads in the Top 20, while more recent images with several sales are much, much lower.  It doesn't seem to make sense.

Just wondering what it's all about.

I'm pretty sure I remember Steve mentioning in the StockXpert forum that popularity is influenced by date of upload, downloads and also number of views. Perhaps your older images have been getting new views increasing their popularity?

I agree with Stu99
but have you noticed funnily enough  you see almost always very same people being on the top of the list with almost all of their new submissions if you check new images tab.they must have the  secret  formula so may be we should ask them:)
