Despite notices on the site StockXpert DO accept eps files that were made with programs other than Adobe Illustrator 8.

I had a few rasterized Jpegs accepted there so went through their system of accessing a previously accepted file and then uploading a zipped eps file.

Initially results were good with just the odd rejection.

Not sure if their FTP option can cope with a JPEG and a zipped eps file with the same file name and as my illustrations are not overly popular so my current strategy was upload a batch of rasterized jpegs then upload the zipped eps if they were accepted.

I have recently noticed a major flaw in this I recently had a batch accepted 100% so uploaded the relevant eps files the second reviewer didn’t like them “we are not looking for such images right now” (obviously this changes daily). Consequently the original file was effectively rejected not showing up in searches or listing download credit prices with “my images”

Will try the FTP option today (uploading both files) and keep you posted

I tried uploading my vectors at StockXpert a couple of months ago, most of which are selling in volume at SS and quite well at DT. All of them were rejected, and I must admit, I couldn't care less. They seem to believe that they know the market well enough to reject whatever, also the ones selling like hotcakes at other agencies.

I wonder who are right: the agencies that accept most technically and creatively good photos and sell a lot, or those who reject everything that "they are not looking for", but don't really sell what they are looking for either  Roll Eyes

The success criteria for this business have been rather well defined by agencies such as SS, IS and DT. Still, others seem to struggle, figuring out how it works  Huh

A little OT:
When I requested a payout from StockXpert a couple of days ago, the feedback I got was that they would transfer the money in three days. I requested money from DT the same day, and money was in my Moneybookers account within 24 hours. I guess that's what is called different attitudes  Undecided

It looks like the guys at StockXpert have a few things  to learn, but they are not alone.

requested payouts at StockXpert, DT, BigStock + FT on Monday 26 th

Monday BigStock payment arrived
Tuesday DT payment arrived
Wednesday StockXpert + FT arrived

so can't complain

You can FTP a jpeg and zipped eps file with the same file name to StockXpert though you can only upload 25 pairs per day.
