Guys, we need to get in there in droves and report all our SYS sales in the MSG poll. Lets get noticed on the poll and see how many people will jump on board. :)

I voted already. Lets do this !

There is a general earnings poll on MSG, you can fill it out once per month. All you need to do is tick the box of the matching amount and click vote. Thats all.

Choose Self Hosted for your vote

that's fine -- in this poll there's a big difference between not voting  (ie, you don't have a portfolio there) and reporting 0 sales.

even with the few sales reported, symbiostock is already ahead of :

 RevoStock
 ImageVortex
 Clipcanvas
 PhotoCase
 SignElements
 PhotoSpin
 ClipDealer
 ScanStockPhoto
 Pixmac
 VectorStock
 DrawShop
 PhotoKore
 photaki
 Stockami
 PocketStock
 The3dStudio
 ViscoImages
 Imagegate
 Macrografiks
 Vivozoom
 StockPhotoMedia

eg, I haven't seen ANY sales from imagevortex, 3d and others for many months

Looks like people are reporting.  Self-hosted is at the top of the middle tier right now.

Yeah, I'm impressed how high it is.

Maybe those few people who are getting consistent sales finally reported them?

I really hope so, that would be a tremendous success. Wow. I hope Leaf can look into the votes and see if something out of the ordinary was voted. Like 2000 dollar a few times or so.

I am holding back on enthousiasm until Leaf can say something about it.

I'll take advantage to post an update - along with good sales Symbiostock is finishing development.

It deploys with live-customizable features now and you don't have to know CSS. These three designs were deployed out of the box...see the product pages. They are top notch now.

Its still underway, but works nicely. For updates: http://www.symbiostock.org/topic/186/the-coolest-symbiostock-version-yet-270/

As mentioned in another thread, self-hosted means ALL self-hosted, not just SY. So people with their own sites might have started to report too.

I think it is great to finally see the results of selling direct. It doesnt matter if it is with smugmug ,symbiostock, photo shelter etc...

The internet puts the customer at your fingertips.

It was never at 0, it just didn't have enough votes to be in the numbered section.  Clipartof and Stocksy are also probably quite high but don't get into the numbered section because of few votes.  A site needs enough votes to make the results at least somewhat statistically reliable.

I know its not all Symbiostock, and I know we need 50 votes, and its good to know its an honest result.

At least its good to know that we finally got on the board then. Let the good times begin.

are the unranked sites listed in order?  before entering the list, self hosted was next to stocksy -- so does that mean when stocksy gets enough votes it should be at about the same level as self?

and that revostock is doing better than 3d? (random selections)?

I always assumed that the unranked sites just weren't really worth bothering with.  Now it would appear some of them could actually be pretty good earners.  Maybe Leaf could add a link to where we can see the poll results of every site regardless of how many votes it has.  I understand that 1 or 2 votes could really skew the numbers for a site that doesn't have many votes but it would still be interesting to see.

Revealing the actual number of votes might help us with the poll results. too.

Yeah, the ones without numbers are in the correct order.  Stocksy was above self-hosted so they are indeed fairly high.  That is generally the case when there are only a few voters though.  Yeah, I should have an area showing all the values and the number of votes.  I did have that before I got the graph.  I'll add it to my todo list.
