Symbiostock is long overdue for an official community .org spot, which is practically required for an open source community project like this.

First though

A BIG THANK YOU TO MICROSTOCKGROUP

For seeing potential in this little project and helping it to become what it is now. I'd like to continue to benefit Microstockgroup continuing to keep it a focus Symbiostock's backlink growth as it has been from the beginning. A HUGE thank you to Leaf especially for being a kind and thoughtful moderator, generally helping the other parts of the MSG gang to accept the annoying growth we've gone through, and helping them to adapt. Lets keep MSG and Leaf benefited by keeping much of our general stock photo business discussion here.

WHAT ITS FOR

The www.Symbiostock.org forum is a collaboration and networking project. This is vastly different in that it puts a large amount of focus on connecting with customers. Not just a general forum. This is a key component in helping Symbiostock emmerge into its own market and acquire its own professional relationships.

WHAT IT DOES

Besides the obvious support, its going to integrate with the network itself. So for instance on your personal site-support forum you will have a constant stats update as your site changes. It helps the community stay strong and integrated

A HAPPY PLACE, DARNIT!

"Symbiostock." Its a happy word. Symbiostock emerged from the flames of the microstock business in a downward spiral and seems to have caught its own updraft. Despite its rough start, growth has been great. Prospects have been wonderful. For that reason I was hoping we could nurture a happy and respectful environment there.

DO YOU REALLY NEED ME?

Do you really need  a socially dysfunctional coding greasemonkey to be overly involved in your professional atmosphere? I know what I am and I know what I'm not! I'd like to focus almost completely on development, and literally let the community own and run the forum, with minimal help from me. I have a HUGE list of "Leo help me" now, so I need to focus on that. I can't do forums anymore!

INTEGRATION

Your Symbiostock admin areas are going to include talk from the community, and the community will include activity from your sites. Although its been stated, its worth saying again that this forum exists %50 for gaining customers and collaborative professional relationships. All microstock and general stock photo things should continue here at MSG.

TEST RUN

Before I spam everyone (why mince words?) who wants to test it? Get signed up, try it out. I'll be out for the day, so please have fun. Break it!

Cool. I was somehow expecting this step. It is logical and will hopefully bring the community a step further, although the symbio threads here on MSG had been like a constant reminder to get moved :D

Thanks Leo

I've registered and entered a few posts, an avatar, a signature line with my Symbiostock site. Seems to be working to me.

What do you envision - that all the Symbiostock stuff here will go away and move to Symbiostock.org?

I was hoping there might be a nice modest sprinkling of Symbio-subjects here, just like with any other stock photo company. At least we won't be hogging the forum :D The only thing I want to move from MSG to there is the threads involving improvements to Symbiostock, since I'll be offering support only there from here on.

Leaf was very generous to allow this project to start here.  I want to keep this place in the action since it was technically where Symbio was born :D
