right on the ancient -- my new version will find new sites automatically & grab their symbiocards, then update images & keyword info on a regular  basis,

so, no need to post here anymore

I think it is still a good place for new members to let everyone know they are available to join the network so others can check them out and see if they want to network

ok, http://cascoly.com/symbio/symbiostock-network.asp now lets you enter your symbiocard and after that will be updating them automatically. I've updated everyone who was on the previous lists

the image update is working but not yet automated, and there are several new reports

next i'll be working on a wider variety of searches and tracking

first draft of network visualization. not all sites are included yet, but already appears  to be a good spread among sites - no major clustering

Thats so effing cool. WOW, love that science sh!t, looks so futuristic. Like a battlegroup positioning into tactical positions to take on the evil empire.

it's actually a screenshot of an  interactive graph  -- this network is different from most others in that all sites are highly connected; usually there are hubs & clusters

i'll be creating further images as the network expands

I guess I'm ready for networking.

Picture Breeze - http://picbreeze.com
(the domain picturebreeze.com is still hosted at a different provider and .htaccess redirected to picbreeze.com right now, but it will be moved soon).

What I'm looking for ...

I have to admit I'm not a fan of microstock (I'm a traditional stock contributor) but I think the concept of Symbiostock is brilliant nonetheless. So what I'm mostly looking for are the members offering unique and high quality photography who try to keep a certain price level.

What you can expect from me is mostly Texas/America related images, people, lifestyle, country and western and landscape. So far I've uploaded a little more than 200 of my early images in 2 days, about 1000 more current ones will follow within the next few days.

My photo topics: Scandinavia, Stockholm, China, nature, wilderness, backgrounds, studio shots, flowers, office buildings, urban views... and many more.
what I am looking for: To skip the middle man and sell my photos directly, what else? I am with more than ten microstock agencies but want to try this network, it might be the future...
I have thousands of pics to upload, but want to try everithing out in a controlled manner first. It would be a good start if my site would show in the Network Directory.

Cascoly - here's a little inspiration for you -

It turns out Symbiostock is already ready already to create complex graphs. Literally every site is capable of it.

Lets start building on this! I LOVE what you've done -

A little research turns up a tool called "gephi"

https://gephi.org/

And it takes XML

http://gexf.net/format/

Gonna put a few hours into this - I'll bet we could finally produce one of Symbiostock's most exciting features - network visualization. I'll send you some scripts ASAP so you can start playing :D

Oh yeah - and being the responsible person I am of course I'll be fixing a few bugs and addressing the priorities as well :D

actually, gephi is what I used to make the image I uploaded! it IS a cool app.  right now, I just create the tables of nodes and edges gephi needs when I show the networks connected list.  this was one of the apps we used in the social networking analysis online course I took earlier

I'm all over it! I'm going to make you a .gexf valid generator and spider quickly.

I quickly looked for some sort of flash exporter for generating web interface and I don't think one exists.
