This is a great post. A good set of dedicated plug in is necessary also to attract more developer.
At this moment the plug in that I really want is an amazonS3 connector. To me is:
1) Time saver. I can set up how many websites I want, and upload the content one time only after that the only thing to do is link the sites and the buckets through a dropdown men.
2) Bandwidth saver. File stored on amazon decrease bandwidth usage.
3) Hotlink protection. The download expires and the link is valid only a time or for a few hours/day or whatever we want.
No problem to pay for this plug in.

Other things are also said,
-theme responsive, google will demote site non-responsive.
-show more picture per pages
-RM and Extended License
-Dashboard to manage statistic of sales and users.
-Coupon

Minor feature, the ability to show a download counter.
Someday maybe, more payment gateway.
I think in bold is already existent

I would like a plugin that would give me 100 sales a week.   ;)
No prob. So you just want a plugin that forces your prices down to 25 cents each? Ok, if you insist...

I looked at the magnifier plug ins but they were magnifying the preview image not the original.  I think it would need to be the original that was magnified to show full quality?

Precisely. Plus done in a way in that people can't get big previews and steal the image by just pasting two zooms together or something. I think Mostphotos does a good job of this from what I remember, it adds a watermark on the zoom image as well

This is what I will begin working on soon - combined into a premium upgrade (plugin)

1. Amazon cloud interaction. Not only for file management and storage, but necessary for site migrations which some people will need to do soon.

2. File management admin similar to photo-----'s which you can sort/batch edit for any sort of operation.

3. # of results displayed management in as many areas as possible (from categories, search results, widgets, etc)

4. Custom license and generic options addable to pricing tables. So you can call it "extended license" or "premium download" and various options will allow you to set URL destinations, file downloads, etc. That way I don't have to make a new option for every conceivable purchase type.

5. Custom post types (product types) for Video and MP3...will likely be adaptable and interact with amazon storage as well.

Naturally I'll need some time to do this, but this will finally make this whole venture worth it for me :D In the meantime, I have a few small bugs left to take care of.

Please get people to get involved with Symbiostock in the meantime so I have a crowd to sell this to :D

The SY crowd is growing with impressive speed already. Be ready for a tsunami of new SY sites when buyers start buying on the SY network in greater numbers.  ;D

Seriously, Leo, you did an awesome job and that is the reason for our active SY community. We all see the potential this has. I don't think you should worry about this venture paying you off eventually. At the very least I hope it will  ;).

Anyway, count me in for your premium upgrade plugin!  8)

I've put the clean theme on. This solves the mobile search box issue. However, im waiting to see what Leo comes up with.

+1 for batch edit

Also some why to network with others, maybe a suggested list. Where you can invite and accept...everyone should be networking to the max.

I'd pay for these :)

(1) How about ability to sell physical goods?

(2) Password protected gallery to show clients.

(3) The ability to turn off the buying part of the site

Yeah, I know - for my own purposes I would like a hybrid stock site and specialty store.

@pixart
In wordpress you can set up pages with password. So i.e. you can create in the header the men clients with nested pages for clients and protect them with password. If I recall right in the wordpress official plugins directory, there are some more advanced plugin to handle this thing.

Thanks Alberto, I can password galleries on my business site and I thought it must have been built into the theme.  So I will look into your suggestion.

I like that SY resizes and watermarks the photos and that you can see a nice thumbnail.  I have to do that in PS right now for my client galleries.  And my stupid client galleries show only a square portion of the photo right now.   Leo's done a lot of things right and could sell this thing to a wide market of Photographers (arent's stock photographers a limited number?).  Should have been ready when Smugmug raised their prices this past year, they lost thousands of clients - including me.

The "Thank you for purchasing your image is here" email.  It would be nice to have this formatted instead of everything running into each other, would look "prettier" for client and they might be more likely to read it

We're now posting three classes of images - RF Budget, RF Premium and RM - and it would be really useful to have saved presets of the entire contents of Author Options.

What about mass-purchases and discounted collections?

I need to get this going again...

Would anyone else use these?

RF Budget, RF Premium, RM,  Editorial, Extended License, mass-purchases, discounted collections, whole packs of images,
saved presets of the entire contents of Author Options, user friendly image management, ....

I'd use it all... - and buy a paid plugin for that, of course!

+1 for the mobile and tablet!

Leo, I will support any useful plugins that you produce.

Maybe post a list of proposed plugins and we can tell you which ones we would buy.

Extended and editorial licences are a much higher priority for me. Buyers will just use the standard licence and use them however they want if they don't see the extended licence option.

But yes I would use a collections option to sell sets of images.

Minor feature, the ability to show a download counter.

This is (sort of) a by-product of implementing "limited quantity" which is something that I want.
