Has anyone come across this problem and a solution for it.
I upload png and jpg (same names) and when the process images box comes up they both show
When editing the jpg has prices and there is an additional area showing sizes for png (although it does not actually say so) so it looks as if all has gone well
Sometimes ONLY the png shows up when the images are edited and published for instance

These are not the only instances but because they are so similar are useful for comparison
I have tried putting them in different order - png then jpg, and jpg then png
Uploading and processing only the one set
but it makes no difference
I uploaded three different sets at the same time and one has png and jpg and the other two only png
I have tried re-uploading without success
Does anyone else have any ideas please?

Ah so it does work sometimes. I've only tried uploading one image in both jpeg and png formats and only the png shows up on the image detail page.
As a side note Tinny, I'm having second thoughts about offering a png in addition to a jpeg with clipping path as the png images don't hold IPTC data. If someone buys the jpeg version, clips out the background and saves as a png the IPTC data is still gone but at least I'm not sending it out the door that way.

I thought for a long time about adding png's for that very reason but the ones I plan to upload will all be created to be part of a larger design rather than used alone so feel it is worth trying although they are so large compared to jpgs

Did anyone ever figure this out?
When I upload a jpeg and png version of the same image only the png shows up. This is what I'm hoping to see http://stockimages.kerioak.com/image/digital-green-swirling-background-2/ (http://stockimages.kerioak.com/image/digital-green-swirling-background-2/) but all I ever get is just the png.

I had a series of illustrations with both JPG and PNG uploaded hoping to see both versions as one "product" with both options available for purchase - the way you want it to be on your web site.
But for some reason only a few images contain both JPG and PNG on one page the others got "separated".
I didn't have much time back then when I was processing those files so I could try to understand the pattern but I will pay more attention next time when it comes to uploading the JPG and PNG files.
This is not much help for you I know but at least you're not alone with this issue.
