I'm ready to start networking. Have a portfolio of some 1500 images at present (only 1/3 showing on my site right now), with more to come by the end of this year. Almost everything is North American birds, critters, & landscapes.

Looking to network with other portfolios having significant representation in those same subjects, but perhaps not only in North America.

Anybody with a SYS site and similar subjects want to network with me?  (This feels like a "lonely hearts" ad, doesn't it?)

Here's my in-the-works SYS site: http://bestnaturestock.com/

Please let me know if you're interested, and I'll check out your site too!

I have quite a lot of animal and plant images (plus an assortment of others) if you would like to check my portfolio out with lots more to add

Nice to see you have joined the regular method of showing your images - must faster loading than before when you were "off roading"  :)

Thanks, Christine! Yes, I had to figure it out the hard way. Not unusual for me, unfortunately. I may still be making things to complicated by including too many sub-categories. We'll see how that goes. Can always cut back.

I've looked at your work already a couple of times. Very nice! I think it's a good fit.

I ended up splitting my categories out a little into separate headings as I take a lot of dog pictures I was doing them breed by breed as these will always be increasing - when Cascoly first started putting his stats links up mine never showed as I think I had too many  ;D

I do have a full network at the moment but the 10th one includes everyone's images from within Ajt's global search so your images show up on my site even without the direct network member link

Please share how you did this.

If you check the directory (or do a search on my site) you will see  global symbiostock search results (his logo is the isolated strawberry) , just add this into your network list the same way as you would with anyone one elses and you search everyone at the same time .  This does not take the place of individuals as with a popular search word too many results come up to show easily

....

which stats were  you referring to?

http://cascoly.com/symbio/list.asp?list=43

right now you're about 1/3 down the list as a splitter (about 1000 images 100 categories) as opposed to a lumper -- terms from biology describing a tendency to combine or separate groups into species.  neither is good or bad - it depends on both your portfolio and what you're trying to achieve  -- eg distinguish among many dog breeds, or just between plants & animals

I meant when you first started posting the stats, not now  :)

I would gladly join if I could find the time and ability to set up a web site. I have never done it and it seems challenging to me. May be this winter I will seriously learn the ropes and get involved with hosting my own site. I'm just not that computer literate. My ports on SS and a few other sites. I shut down my istock and fotolia accounts.

I looked at your port on SS some time back. Very nice wildlife! If you do build your own SYS site, your images would be a natural network fit for mine.

I'd encourage you to give SYS a try. Really not all that hard, once you get through the initial learning curve. (For me, the toughest thing was figuring out how to create a watermark in Photoshop!) There are lots of helpful folks willing to coach you as needed. Plus... as more of us master this system, there will be many more able to help those who take the leap later. The original gurus won't have to do all the coaching. I'm sure they'll appreciate that!

Martha,

I have some wildlife pictures, and many landscape images from Canada, mainly Ontario.
Still uploading, and many more images to go.

I haven't done my networking part yet, but would be honored to link with your site.

Thank you, Les. I would be honored to reciprocate that link. Your Canadian images and mine are all from North America, so it's a perfect fit.

Let's do it! ;)

You do great work, have enjoyed looking at your portfolio.  I would be honored to be a part of your network and add you to mine.  I am focusing on Arizona and Hawaii, landscape, nature and architecture.

Your work is great, Ron, but since I specialize in North American birds, critters, and landscapes, etc, I'm going to limit my network to sites with the same geographic areas and subjects.

I have done that, Don, and it's a great feature. Unfortunately, at present, many of my test searches turn up only my own images in the global search. That's because I have a lot of niche images. But as the total collection grows, that should change. I hope it will!

Hello Martha Mam ,

I was just browsing mircrostockgroup and found your topic ,

i am big fan of your wildlife photography, Yes we did lots of wildlife photography in past , traveled all the wild life reserve based in India in search of Tiger , one glimpse and one decent photograph would have been enough , unfortunately couldn't capture decent image of tiger in wild :-( , but we have photographed birds and other wild animals  , soon we will resume our safari.

many more birds and mammals images , i yet to cover and upload.

meanwhile my symbio website is - http://www.ephotobuy.com/
Birds -> http://www.ephotobuy.com/image-type/birds-images/
All Animals -> http://www.ephotobuy.com/image-type/animals/

i will be glad to network with you , and added you in my network long back , if you find my work is suitable and eligible to be part of your network then please feel free to add me back.

Regards
Simi
