There really needs to be a way to upload jpegs with IPTC data together with the eps files.

Currently you have to enter all descriptions and keywords manually, which is very slow. (The interface is rather cumbersome.)

I have no idea how I should uploads hundreds of vectors this way. It will take me days.

I uploaded my vectors to the waiting area and am keywording about 20 a session. It goes a lot faster if you copy and paste the info from a site where you already have the images up.

Same here. I uploaded them all and am keywording them a few at a time. I don't find the interface cumbersome at all, but then I'm used to istock. :) I love the keyword suggestion function.

Agree - Maybe zip with thumbnail image containing keywords would do?

Hi All -

Thanks for  on this.
We know this is a real pain for some of you - so we are looking into ways of tackling this in a future release.

Thanks!

- Brian

Brian, uploading JPEG image previews is not a problem. We are very used to it.. I mean I love only uploading EPS but there are issues when generating the preview.. I don't know if you have seen the other thread.. I also sent an email to veer's contributor help website..

I had about 80 images accepted of my first 110 and all the rejected ones are rejected because of the same reason: The preview is not properly generated.. That's not my fault because all the accepted files had same settings and same styl of art.. Some of the rejected files are far better images than my accepted ones.. This needs to be sorted.. If some of my best files are stuck because the preview generator does not work, this is a big issue for me!

Thanks..

I would appreciate an ETA for the improved vector upload process. 'Future release' sounds as if it could take quite some time. Just to know if I should wait with my uploads or bite the bullet and enter my keywords manually.

Brian,
I think your timing couldn't be more perfect.

I have a few questions about the illustration side. Will vectors automatically be generated into jpeg versions available at all sizes? Are there posted guidelines for vector submissions?

Hi whatalife -

Yes.
No need to upload a preview JPEG --- rasterized JPEGs will be created automatically.

There are basic vector guidelines included with the general Marketplace submission guidelines doc here:
http://www.veer.com/download/pdf/vmp_submission_guidelines.pdf

The basics:

- .EPS format
- AI8 compatible
- No open paths
- No stray points or objects
- Avoid transparency and other raster effects that arent AI8 compatible
- Ensure paste board size is the same size as illustration

Based on the above exchange, I thought the answer to my question was yes, that vectors would be generated as jpegs and available at all sizes. Now as I read it again, I realize my question must have been misunderstood because now that the credit side is launched, it appears that vectors are only available as vectors, at 20 credits (30 USD).

Will we be allowed to upload raster versions of any of our vectors so that they may be purchased at photo sizes?
