in recent weeks. If I delete all my files, I'll have a piece of mind that there's no foul play like some agencies in the past kept our earnings and disappeared. I'll probably give another month or two before making the final decision to delete my files. We had a good few years with VideoBlocks at least.

I'm definitely not uploading new stuff anymore. Waste of time at this point.

Yeah I'm probably going to do the same by end of January.

I don't want my video files to be in somebody else's hand if it's not selling at all. Deleting the portfolio will give me a peace of mind.

This is another example of the classic "we expect the royalty cut to grow sales" failure. Perhaps it was never about growing sales but getting as much out of what's left of the business before it folds. My sales are pretty much dried up there.

It's becoming a waste of time..

They had a great model, buyers and artist were happy and now......zzzzzzz

Their core business has been, and probably always will be, their membership library. As a result, the bulk of their customers are accustomed to "all you can eat" downloads. These buyers rarely buy "one offs". So, as VB adds more files to the membership library, marketplace sales will continue to decline.
As artists, all we can do is adapt to the changing landscape. For some, that may mean dropping VB as a place to upload new material into their marketplace.

We have to be honest with ourselves. VB makes their money via the way ODesigns states. All along their goal was to have a pool of clips that solved for the needs of their customrers within their membership collection. Honestly, i knew deep down that this HAD to be their goal when I signed up.... the goal being to ween their customers off of paid material and support them with their owned collection. It is working. While i enjoyed as high as $500 a month from them, I am now getting $30 ish bucks every 4-8 weeks. The ride, for me, is over with VB.

From a high of 900/mo now just one single $35 sale. How quick VB fell to the lowest earners is troubling. All they had was price was lower now at the same price buyers stay on the big 4. Sad news to end the year.

Im on SB for 2.5-3 years now with almost 500 video clips (not many i know). Have nice and steady sales with 1 clip every 2-4 months :o
Worst platform. Stopped uploading. Not sure what to do. SS and P5 generate ok sales with same clips.

Nicely put.
It could be seen from begging. They bought off from a lot of contributors, generated their own pool, and sell subscriptions...

It was to be expected, and it was fun while it lasted.
Sad how agencies somehow always manage to completely destroy their own sales and goodwill. Evil corporate greed always takes over. Thanks but no thanks, VB.

With 9000 footages i have 1-2 sales per month. So much work so sad
