  • BM - Best Match
  • BME - Best Month Ever
  • BMY - Best Month this Year
  • BYE - Best Year Ever
  • BS - BigStock
  • DL - Download
  • DLS - Downloads
  • DP - DepositPhotos
  • DT - Dreamstime
  • FAA - [FineArtAmerica]]
  • FP - FeaturePics

  • LCV - Low Commercial Quality (common rejection reason)
  • OD - On Demand is another license from [Shutterstock] where buyers get more expensive plans (less downloads for buyers for more $, like 10 downloads for 10$ per example)
  • MSG - MicrostockGroup
  • PD - PhotoDune
  • PP - Partner Program (often referring to iStock's partner program)
  • RF - Royalty Free
  • RM - Rights Managed
  • RPD - Return per Download
  • RPI - Return per Image or Revenue per Image (often quoted in monthly figures, sometimes yearly)
  • RPM - Return per Month or Revenue per Month
  • SOD - Single & Other Downloads is a license at [Shutterstock] (can go from around 90 cents to 120$), pretty much it can be a one time license or for sensitive use
  • Subs - Short for subscriptions. A buyer pays a monthly fee and is allowed to download X number of images per day or month with no further fees. Photographers are generally paid low amounts when an image is licensed through a sub-sale (average $0.20-$.30). The low royalties are often counter balanced by very high sales numbers.
