Why would I basically want to rob artists of income? Are the artists being compensated for the free DLs?

Why would I basically want to rob artists of income? Are the artists being compensated for the free DLs?


It would be nice to get the official word from YAY but I am pretty sure the artists are getting paid for the downloads... i would hope so anyhow.

I am sure they will pay us, should be easy to test, just download one of my photos and mention it here and I will let you know if I get paid Smiley

Fotografene får selvsagt betalt som om kundene har kjøpt bildepakkene.

And I can confirm that I received 1 euro for a download, well done yay, I hope this brings in more buyers.  Had a few 1 euro commissions lately, so it looks like they are from this promotion.

I doubt there will be an official word from Yay on photographer forums. They don't want us to download 10 images one from another just to boost our earnings.
Do they obligate you to buy some package before you download those 10 images, or you can just download them after registering without paying anything to Yay?

hi i can't find any information from the yaymicro homepage?

would like to understand more about it, is it a deal to attract buyers or contributors? since i don't buy it, maybe i can register and upload my own picture and buy it myself?

Hi all, anyone knows how to download 10 images for free?

I just registered through the link, and uploaded some pictures that is still under pending.

I can't really see anything about that i can download 10 images for free..

I may just download my own images if i don't see any images i need...at least i got 10 sales to start?

uploading is quite fast, it reads IPTC data from zipped vector with preview jpg too.

Surely they wont pay us to download our own images?  That wouldn't be a wise use of their marketing money.  I presume they are trying to attract real buyers, why don't we just let them do that?

I got this when I wrote to them, I was hoping to use some images for my blog.  Wink
