Hey everyone,

Was just looking at the MS poll results and it seems that YayMicro is the highest earner in the middle tier (even higher than 123RF which has just started giving me some money). So I headed over to the site and the first thing that greets me is unlimited downloads for a fixed price. That got me worried

So is this site worth getting on to?

Just my two cents: If you want lose control over your pictures totally, agree with nano prices and want lose your earnings when you leave, then you should enter at YAY. Read this thread here carefully, in contains an extract from YAYs Contributor Agreement. YAY does not belong to the Middle tiers -  someone made a joke. Next month they are down again.

Probably hired guns boosting the numbers for Yay.

They were dangling at the bottom tier for years, and now they out perform everybody except top 4 from one week to the next. Its manufactured.

Sales are slow at YAY, they belong down to the bottom.

How does that $10 unlimited streaming plan work for contributors? What are the royalties on those downloads?

There is no why that YAY is top middle tier! The poll results really need some retooling if hired guns or one of two folks, that make a killing, can make a wimpy company like YAY be almost a top tier company...

And it shows two things: 1. MSG is important for agencies like these, 2. they apparently act with such methods

A few years back I had a batch of portraits rejected  thus I asked they why- they replied back and sent me examples of what they expected of portraits- and you can guess who's photos they sent me? Yuri's! I fired back to them that I which I could do portraits as well as Yuri! After that little round of battle they have accepted all my images including portraits... 8)

Do we have a WOTA list (Waste Of Time Agencies) in some place?

4 sales in 3 years with 2 of those in 2014.

Not worth the effort  :-\
