sorry robert, Pls accept apoligys. I didnt mean 600 different models. 600 Model shots that referred to Yaymicro uploading Photos of. I was just asking a question as to what people thought of it. Im sorry , Im not absolutely precise. I do have correct info most of the time. I do try my best and have been around a long time, Maybe to long. I try to help a lot of people that struggle, thats all I got. Sorry Friend If I said the wrong things. i just try as hard as I can to not get personal, But when I see any little jabs for no reason, My defence flies up. And the law of averages says Im gonna screw up every now and then. again sorry. I answer too many people, in to short a time. MY Bad. Im only good at one thing, Photography and teaching, Im horrible at typing my intent. Again sorry, Your one of the good cops. Didn't we have issues at LO? about me trying to convince people to get out and cut there losse's? If not sorry again.  A lot of folks have to understand, I bring up topics and issues based on the questions people ask me. So i put them out there as most people are shy to post. Im not, I'll just Blurt it out and see what happens and Ya have to understand I talk to a lot of people everyday specifically about this business, if you saw my e-mail Load Most would be shocked. I take the time to answer each one and have a 8am Phone call every morning from people with special problems around the world. I go out and either buy or get loaned the newist cameras,Lense's, assories, bags ,straps CF cards Etc, so I can talk about them and not only on stock sites But pro sites as well.   WHY? For money? Not at all. I really Honestly do care. and if I can help just a few save some time or there own money I will.  Again , Sorry Robert for the misunderstanding. I'll work on that. Im trying the best I know how. And I know I'll piss off a few along the road. So be it.  Peace, laurin

I could have guessed your reply and saved you the typing  ;)

Anyhow, you don't need to do that for every shot with a model in it, you just upload one photo to go with each release, then each time you upload a shot with that model in it you just attach the release.

So in other words if you upload 1200 photo's featuring five models you only need to upload five release's and five photo's of that model.

It's been like this on traditional (I hate the term macro) sites for years, microstock sites are copying the trad's so it's something you'll probably have to get use to.

Come on guys.  You are both valuable forum contributors and I appreciate having both of you around.  Let's not drive each other off.

Sorry Dan but one of the things that makes this forum worthwhile is that if someone starts spouting BS they get pulled up on it. It keeps the fantasists from taking over and cliques forming.
You've got to remember that there are a lot of beginners here that don't know what to believe, if you start letting these things slide before you know it this place will end up like the SS forum.

The problem looks to be a missunderstanding, with the number of models and images, but both are correct, some sites upload one model release and attach it to many images, but IStock want the release or a combined release for each shot 600 images 600 releases, then Alamy trust you to have the release if you mark the image as model released and recently closed someones account for release fraud.

I use the same models and the way I do it is to have one release per shoot, so if I upload two images of the same model I have two dated releases that matches the image data and will attach the correct release to the image.

I think you should upload an image of the model signing the release, because you could have one MR that you wrote yourself and just changed the image in PS.

Maybe a video clip of the models signing the release, zooming in on the handwriting, and a newspaper for the day just to prove that date, and any living grandparents as well.  ;D

Which is what it's getting to, and why I've given up on models, buildings, vehicles, toys, objects, and anything with a registered shape in my photos. I know I'll sell less and have less marketable photos, but that's life. CYA agency policies which are over the top.

Translation? I'm going editorial.

Funny! Thanks for making Monday start with a good laugh.  ;D
