Topic: Approved images vs Online images

I sent almost 2 weeks ago 20 photos, all of them approved. Review time was the longest of all sites I'm in. Then the approved photos would not come online. So at this moment I have 12 photos online from 20 and I have absolutely no darn clue where are the other 8 files. Methinks they're in the Matrix somewhere, tumbling down the rabbit hole. Anybody else experiencing this?
I also tried to post this message on zymmetrical forum, but I just couldn't do it. I'm using Opera as a browser, and the forum page is acting strange when trying to actually write a message. However that's not a problem, since I won't be using that forum anyway. But the vanishing of approved photos is.

Well it's not a good sounding start is it - I can tell you one thing for certain is that we are always accessible, with an emphasis on the Help page and email support.

The other 8 photos are fine and they say hello from the Matrix - there is sometimes a delay between approval and coming online, depending on the workload. We do our best to juggle everything with reviewers, system resources, and upgrades, while avoiding imposing direct limits on uploads.

As for the forum, I am concerned you would plan to avoid it since (IMO) it's a pretty good neighbourhood, not as busy yet as MSG but one day maybe.  I will fire up Opera and see what the issue may be. Again it's maybe better to write support directly and we can get the details of software versions etc.

Go ahead, you'll find it really funny Smiley

Stock photography is not my main business (yet) and I rarely have time to use agency forums. And if I stumble in some compatibility glitches I'll just move on, I don't have time to test and report these issues.

I'm glad my photos are okay, I thought The Merovingian ate them. So if 8 photos take this amount of time to go live, then if i'm doing the math and multiply with 100, let's say....   Roll Eyes
or better not.

I had a similar problem. Some of the images were not online because their thumbnails got mixed with other photographers' images during upload. I notified Zymmetrical, and they told me to upload them again. They were able to tell me which images were stuck, for about half of them. I uploaded those as I didn't bother figuring out what other images were not online since I would have to go though all of approved and rejected images to  do that.

After uploading, some previously approved images were rejected. The explanation was that they were not originally reviewed by a proper reviewer.

Apparently, the thumbnail mix up is not supposed to happen anymore as they performed server upgrades.

So bwahaha, The Merovingian DOES eat approved photos, after all  Cheesy

Well this is why we prefer to deal with technical support issues directly -  there is no issue with your 8 photos Xalanx, other than the system simply processes them as fast as is possible. There's no mystery involved, sometimes things slowdown during a surge of uploads - again we are doing the best we can while not imposing upload limits.    Cool
