I received e-mail from 123rf this morning about their new Corporate + program

I guess it's a sign of the times that I now read things like this looking to see how they're going to hose contributors - once I'd have been interested in a new marketing initiative that might increase our earnings.

I wasn't thrilled to see:

"Stretch your content budget by receiving exclusive corporate pricing discounts."

"Improve your workflow by sharing content and collaborating in groups."

"License and re-license content on demand for each client. Ask us about how to use Corporate+ to help you save in the long run."

So on top of the already huge discounts we see (and which affect our royalties) they want to offer more. No multi-seat licenses needed for multiple people to use the content.

Just when you think the introduction of the miserable RC system is the bottom of the barrel, the "agency" manages to outdo themselves.

And is there any communication with contributors - here's what this means for you and why it's a good thing long run? I might not believe a word that comes out of their mouths anyway (how can you tell if they're lying goes the old joke; his mouth was open) but at least they could do us the courtesy of pretending that they give a sh*t about contributors.

Thiefs, rip offs, Microsoft, Google and in addition to this now I can look forward to 8 cents sales on 123rf. Beginning of this year in microstock is real nightmare.  I'm sick of it all.

every peice of news from this site,  just makes my blood boil
they must have special meetings where they just try to think of new ways to give the ol' screwgy to contributors

lets see where they rank in Jan 2014...

I think this is more than just "no multiseat licenses" are needed as they market this service with "we have great new user interface which enables you to share the bought images with your colleagues and PARTNERS, only one lisence is needed" > partners can be, and often are people working for other/different companies than the image buyer. So this is allowing users to freely deliver images to 3rd party users, without any extra fee: see their latest newsletter in Finnish:) here: http://newsletter.123rf.fi/02-2013/ [nofollow] (image showing the newsletter attached, too). This will mean many users will share for free the images to their dealers and retailers etc.  This is totally against common delivery terms, and will again cut down the turnover. One can always try to say "this is limited to one company only" but that is not how the users are now reading the terms and  using the service.

Thank you guys for this thread.

Yesterday, I've sent them an email to ask them for closing my account.
I feel much better now.

Wont they lose lots of money with this?  Don't understand it.  I think I'm going to have to remove my portfolio, unless they can explain how this isn't damaging for us?  Perhaps D-Day should include 123RF?

Me too. On a side note, I had one sale this month for a negative amount. Has anyone had this?

As I mentioned in a previous thread, I do not have a choice financially to keep going with them - FOR NOW. I can already see how the volumes did not rise and the same volumes are leading to less income.

They seem to be determined to press every drop of blood out of their contributors, the formally very loyal ones and the current bitter enders.  For the life of me I can not understand how they can continue with this and think it is a viable medium or long term strategy. I am endlessly disappointed in my former no.1 site (already now in my 3d place 1 month in). They lost all my respect.

I guess it depends on how much they actually bring in every month and whether it would make any difference in terms of bread on the table.  Sales volumes are not that bad but prices are too low and it was just about worthwhile uploading @ 50% commission.  I'd reconsider if subs at least went to the previous flat rate for everyone but can't see that happening.

Maybe the agencies now have enough content so they dont need contributors anymore and can make a living by selling our content back and forth between eachother.

It seems that more and more of the deals are the kinds of deals where agencies interact with eachother with no regard to the original provider of content.
