You're taking the bulk of the sales money;

Doesn't 123rf still give 50%?

You've added a little "spin" there, Komar.  That out-of-context quote is not unlike Tabloid reporting.  Hope that isn't an example of your blog reporting.  ::)

How does any site that offers subscriptions give 50%?
I wasn't trying to be smart Warren. I actually genuinely wanted to know if they are still giving 50%, at least for credits anyway and if they are, they are the last agency we can complain about what amount of the sales money they take. I agree with your other points in this thread though, apart from my spin factor.

Not a problem, Komar.  I think you honestly missed what was said.  "You're taking the bulk of the sales money:" is the collective plural referring to:

BUY your ads.  Twitting is making you all look like a bunch of TWITS.  You're taking the bulk of the sales money;  use it for what you claim it is ... advertising and marketing.

I'm seeing more "purchased" advertising from Thinkstock than from 123rf, BigStock, or Dreamstime.  You get what you pay for.  Please stop trying to get by on the CHEAP!!! You're about to be surpassed by Thinkstock!!!

I think the thread is about 123rf, therefore, you read my post as speaking specifically to 123rf.  Including the entire quote might have clarified my point.  Agencies are telling us that advertising and marketing are expensive, yet they avoid the "purchase" of buyer attention.

We're cool ... and I do read your blog.   :P

Lol I was wondering why you jumped on me, don't get me wrong, I like being jumped on, but attractive blondes please! Yeah I did think you were only referring to 123rf. But it is true though the agencies increase prices, which ultimately can have an effect of reducing our income (higher prices deterrent for many buyers). They coincide this increase with reducing our commission (needed for advertising ;)), which again reduces our income. Anyway, I'm high-jacking this thread with another subject but just thought I'd reiterate what you said.

Hi, Ben. We're unable to locate the email. Did you send it to [email protected]?

I used the "contact support" link in your website while logged in to my account and providing all the details it asked...so no, it's not an "email vanished" thing.  More likely some support guy didn't feel it worth the time to reply so he just hit the delete button.

Well, I checked out your twitter page as requested and all I can say is I hope I won't be doing that again.

You really should post relevant information somewhere on your site even if you don't want to have a forum.

If you do read this, please make some way we can see the sales stats for our images (views would be nice too). When I am trying to decide what images to "fave", that is useful information, and please don't tell me to just go through the monthly sales and add them up.

My original question was going to be this:  "Is there any way to see the downloads and/or earnings stats for EVO images?"  I'm an EVO submitter but was trying to work out whether it's actually worth submitting images to the EVO section or whether they'll just sell better as regular sub available images.  Though with the way earnings are headed there its becoming more of a moot question.

Hi Neotakezo,

We're working on it to implement the new module for everyone to see their earning stats for EVO images. At the moment, you may check each of your EVO image to view the download stats.

Many thanks,
Anglee

Anglee,

Thanks for the reply...I'm really trying hard not to be overly negative here but there's no way I'm going to click on each EVO image separately and sit there with a calculator or whatever adding them up.  From the best I've been able to tell there isn't even a way to find your evo images in your folio without browsing every single folio page and looking for the evo mark, is there?

When I hit my portfolio link down the bottom of the page it brings up my folio, no tab for evo/standard just everything mushed in together.  When I try to search through my folio (as on the search results page you DO get the evo & standard tabs) I can't find any search terms that will bring up the whole folio.  I search for my name and get no hits, I search for evo and get no hits, I leave the search field blank and get no hits.

Even when I go into my upload history there are no links from the submitted image to the viewable image.  And your advanced search page has no option to input photographer name....so how am I even supposed to bring up a list of my EVO images assuming I was motivated enough to click on each one?

You've had the EVO section up for how long now?  Years I believe, and still no way whatsoever for artists to track their EVO submissions and sales numbers...  Doesn't that seem a little odd?

Anglee, on what criteria are the images included into EVO collection? I searched for "old man"  among EVO only and well... judge for yourself. Majority of those less-than-300 photos are from a handful of contributors only and there are a LOT of similar shots.

The old man from contributor ostill says "isolated" and it's not isolated at all. You can see the grey at the edges. Things like that drive buyers crazy. Keyword spam, non-isolated "isolated" shots... I'm very very glad I'm buying at DT and not there. Sigh.

Hey all,

EVO submitters are by invitation only. They are selected and invited by our panel of reviewers. 123RF's reviewers will constantly keep a lookout for potential photographers among  contributors and invite them for EVO submission.

Anglee

How about my second question Anglee...is there any way to bring up a list of just your own evo images? (preferably listed from most sold to least)

Hi Neotakezo,

Indeed you can view your own EVO images.
1. Log in to your account.
2. Click on "Sell images"
3. On the page of "Sell images", click on "History" tab/page

On the history tab/page, you can view the list of EVO images.

Cheers,
Anglee

You totally miss my point Anglee.

First off from that history tab I then have to navigate to the individual months that I uploaded the EVO images to see which ones I uploaded, even then the images aren't linked to any page that can show me download or sales stats.  And that was the whole point of my question.

I first asked you how I could see my EVO sales stats, to which you told me a module was being created that would allow that in the future but for now I had to click on them one by one.  So I asked you if there's a way to bring up a list of my EVO images so that I CAN CLICK ON THEM ONE BY ONE to see sales stats and you give me a method where not only do I NOT get one unified list of evo submissions (I have to try to guess which months I uploaded evo images during and select them one at a time) but a method that DOESN'T link to any sort of download or sales stats?  *scratches head*

Very odd answer you gave....I assume the real answer to my question is " no, there is no way to bring up a single list of all your evo images"

Such rudimentary sales tracking tools are foregone (FOR YEARS) in favor of site look upgrades, removal of forums, and playing around with stupid social networking things.  Why don't you try to get the basics down first before you waste your time with trivialities?
