This is the format email notification:
"Accepted: 3
Rejected: 0"
No references to either the batch nor the picture. Very vague.
The last ones I received didn't change my pending numbers, so I think that the emails were mistakenly sent to me.
I wish that the message would be more specific. I would prefer to receive an email for each picture result, like some other sites do, I find it very practical and easy to follow.
What do you think?

yeah, i like the email for each picture, or at least one email that gives an overview of all accepted/rejected

I would like one email only but with all the names on. Shutterstocks is useless as I dont track photo number.

I have complained to 123rf about their notices, but it hasn't helped. Besides being uninformative, they are usually wrong. I just got one that said:
Accepted: 0
Rejected: 6
In the first place, I haven't submitted a batch of 6 recently. In the second place, my actual history looks like this: (The numbers being uploaded, approved, pending, rejected)

dbvirago it seems to confirm that they have a mix-up in their photographer's email notifications, or it's manually done by the approvers, and then mistakes can be made.
Since I track the pictures individually, I would prefer to receive a notification email for each photo, whether it may be an individual or group email. Individual would still be my preference: an approver reviews the picture, decides a result, the 'click' decision automatically sending an email to the photographer. We then don't have to wait for a last pending one to know that everything else has already been approved. It also gives a hint about the ones they are not sure about, for whatever reason.
123rf is the only site where there is an individual reference when you submit, and then another new publicized number when the photo is approved.
MSP and SX don't even send a message about the results, so knowing with 123rf that some anonymous pictures have been approved isn't that helpful, but is a first step in the right direction. I hope that they will be more precise in a near future :)

Well they were sure precise with me. Not really.... I signed up with them this past weekend, sent in my 10 trial shots. I got an email this morning, 5 accepted, 5 rejected.
I've no problem with rejection, I know I'm not Ansel Adams. Not even USPS took everything I offered. Yes, they actually rejected one.
That's cool, I understand rejection.
But, naturally, when going with a new outfit, I selected my 10 highest sellers on SS, StockXpert, DT, LO & BS (and one of them was even selling on USPS). You get my point, these pix sell for me like hotcakes, my creme of the crop.
However, 123's reason for rejection, "Limited commercial value"
SS, StockXpert, DT, LO, & BS might beg to differ. Oh well, it's their site and their call. However, I'm thinking at this point about just deleting the whole batch and walking away. If I'm going to run a 50% rejection on my hottest selling pix, what's the point of uploading my portfolio?

Playing devil's advocate for a moment... I've noticed that some photos sell better on one site than they do at another, I'm sure you have too. This could be to differences in the buyers each site attracts or differences in the competition at a particular site. 123RF may just be aware of these factors and reject images in segments that have traditionally been under-performers or over represented.
That aside 123RF actually doesn't reject that much. At least they've accepted ~93% of what I've sent them. They're not great on sales though. I suspect if you keep submitting your percentage accepted will go up quite a bit. Whether that equates with it being worth your time to submit considering the sluggish sales is unknown.
As for their email system. I've never been able to get an email from them. They're in my whitelist and my ISP says they aren't blocked but I haven't been able to get 123RF to look into the matter. Really quite frustrating. StockXpert also had the same problem for awhile but they fixed the problem on their end after a few months with only a couple of reminders to do so.

You ARE correct IRC, your point a factual one. It would stand to reason that designers all have favorite sites and depending upon their needs and what they download from those sites, that site will determine what will and what won't sell for them. I was really just ranting.
However, what I submited was a broad spectrum of shots from landscape to isolateds to people. The rejection was not of any particular type... appeared really, random. I don't know. If I knew what they didn't want in a particular type of shot, I'd not upload them, but when I have no clue... what's a newbie to do?
I'll take your advice and shoot them another batch of 10 or 15 and see what flies and what nose-dives. One thing for sure, it IS easy to upload there!

Shut my mouth!! Pretty sad when you have to prove yourself wrong.... all that complaining I did above.... yeah, they only took 5 pix, but then, the first day they were posted I sold 2 of them... go figure... I suppose I'll slap some more up there on 123.
