I'll say it again... 123RF is top tier.   They'll officially be one of the "Big 4" in four to six months.

I very much agree with you!

I've been with them for more then 6 years and this year I've had a couple BME and this month I made BME on the 19th. I feel 123rf is a fantastic site!

123RF is my consistent second place earner and by a large margin. I've seen big increases over the past couple months.

It  started  having  more  sales  since  the  begining  of  the  year.     85 cents  out  of  1st  place  in  earnings.

They have increased a lot for me as well and are now clear winners of the middle tier but still have a long way to go to make top tier for me.

I am there for less than a year but they only make me about 8% of what I earn at Shutterstock and are at nr. 4 for me. Would like to know what your percentage is for them compared to SS. I even have 100 more images there than at SS.

For me they make about a sixth or SS,  and about a third of what they do at the other top sites DT, Fot and IS.

ok i'm having a BME too - not saying much! I have more images with them than SS, iS, DT and nearly double FT, and they are still 5th.

Dare anyone say that their marketing ploy and price strategy for 2013 is working...........  8)

After this month I should be on tier 4 (80 to gain from last year to get there).

Will get payout this month and did last, after loosing out for the first 3 months due to the commission cut.

I'm a very happy 123rf contributor with steady increasing payout. 2012 was great but they are improving months by months on 2013

I like their very fast review time of my images (usually).  Sales for me have tended to trickle up this year.. although they only make a quarter or so of my SS earnings.   :)

Well, especially if the rise in sales could have been caused by reduced pricing (especially coming from a reduction in commission), IT IS A HIGH RISK STATEMENT!!!!

I am considering leaving them - lowest RPD for months (aside from lowest earnings generally).

It could be that the people who do well there are selling even more, and the ones who never did well there are selling less and less.  Those who do well probably saw a rise up to Level 6, so the increase in commission coupled with an increase in downloads is leading to a very nice rise in earnings.  I know this is my case, and I'm betting it's true for a number of others.

I was one of the lucky ones that stayed at 50% and I have noticed an increase in the amount of dls and earnings since the change.

Very good point, but I actually took a % knock starting up on a level 3. My sales amount took an immediate drop due to it and I stopped hitting the monthly payout bracket. Within 3 months though, the volume went up adequately to place me back where I was amount wise and with the points system I will now probably go up to level 4, speeding up my income rise beyond the point it was when the new system was introduced.

Thus, in short, I survived the commission cut (full recovery) and should be able to reap now the further benefit of increased sales.

I guess anyone who started the new scheme on a low level 3 or lower will take proportionally longer to recover.

I'm having a BMY there in May.  Very welcome, considering that some other sites have been so slow.

They are still nowhere near my top tier though.

Nope, I'm at level 5 and I was doing better and better each month up to now, now a near 50% drop.

It might be working for them, not for me. The # of sales is about the same but the %age drop means I make less and they make more.

pretty much my situation - what is different though - I added probably another 150 images in the past months - my sales are still the same level though - no real upload impact. Ranks lowest on my RPI the whole year so far, lowest RPD 3 out of 5 months (yes, that means lower than shutterstock). Not liking it at all.

I completely agree! They will bump Dreamstime down and move into their position within months. My sales have gone up on 123RF, simply because they accept more good photos unlike Dreamstime.
My last upload on 123RF was 97% accepted and Dreamstime was 49% The ones on 123RF have already started to sell as they might have also on Dreamstime had they accepted them and not given me lame excuses of why my photos lacked this or that, my favorite was "Poor lighting due to lighting conditions (wrong time of day, dull skies, harsh shadows etc.)" this on a studio shot with proper lighting etc  :-\
Hope 123RF continues to do what they are doing because it's working!

4th out of 5.  Adjusting for port size, 5th out of 5 although within 10% of FT and DT on that basis but reckon that's an aberration.

I have been mad at them since they cut my commisions,- or raised theirs.

I have not uploaded anything since, and im close to removing my port.
The reason why I dont, yet, is that I want to see how they develop, they might be upcoming.

That aside, I had good sales in April and bad sales in May.
Still they are such a low earner, that I do not look at them very often.

I see I get a minus for hoping to reach level 4 next month (PS now cancelled out by someone's +). Just want to remind that EVERYBODY did not AGREE with the STRATEGY. Although I was OBVIOUSLY also sadden by their move, I clearly stated in those threads that I financially can not afford to react to them. I still can not and will not and financially hope for their success, as mine is also dependent on them. That does not mean I want to encourage other sites to follow suite (although many have already done so prior to 123RF's move - so 123RF was following them).

Surprised to be saying this, but my May at 123RF was better than DT and FT. And nearly double what I earned there in January.

Things are definitely on the move over there.

That is disturbing - how many images on each?

I haven't uploaded since October - DL numbers don't seem so bad compared to DT / FT  but the earnings balance hardly moves in comparison (and, god knows, FT are pretty cheap).  SS actually pays better commissions, volumes are orders of magnitude better and there is the occasional EL and increasing numbers of SODs.  I've nothing against 123 but I can't see how they are worth submitting to unless you have several thousand images.  That said, there must be a hell of a lot of very small players willing to submit there or the small port commission cuts would not add to their bottom line.
