Just applied to 123RF the other day and started uploading the portfolio I have on other agencies. Three things that got my attention:

- Image review was almost immediate!! I couldnt believe my eyes when I saw that as my ftp transfer ended, almost half of my images where approved (50) and the other where pending. Then I hit F5 and more images where approved. How do they do that??

- Most images I sold on other agencies where rejected with Poor light / composition

- Most of the images rejected on other agencies where approved.

Does anyone else have a similar experience?

Complete opposite experience.  I've got about 20 images and stopped uploading because it was taking them about a month to review images and all of my best sellers on DT, Shutterstock, etc. were rejected for low commercial value.

I'll get back to uploading sometime in the winter when I don't have much else to do.

I only have good experiences with them, also regarding earnings: sales took a while to start, but now they are often above Dreamstime and Istock.

Different reason but same ending then. For me it was nice to see images no one else wanted being approved, at least this way I have a change to try them out but it was frustrating to see most of my best sellers being refused. It doesn't make much sense. Well but that's (microstock)  life, I guess. Let's see how it turns out regarding earnings.

Nice and honest site. Lots of poor/lightings and with a fairly "old fashioned" search, pretty much weighted towards isolations. Good site though, well worth uploading to for generic and general stuff.
My stuff, Industry, technology and engineering, is not exactly searched by their type of buyers. :)

... and this is something I think is great on 123RF. Doesn't make me feel like a number, like most other microstock agencies do.

Please help me with "similar" rejections. I'm new to 123 as well. Started uploading vectors last week (about 10 per day). My first 40 images were all accepted (100%)
I just had all ten in one upload get rejected for "similar image". I only had 40 images in my port and none of the new images are close to the previous ones at all. Every one is a new style or composition. 3 of them are completely new subjects. I had a buffalo head rejected for similar yet there are no images of Buffalo's in my port.
My question is this?
Do I need to upload differently? How do I avoid this problem in the future?
Thank you - any feedback would be greatly appreciated

The "similar" rejection reason is new to 123rf (as far as I know). I had one recently for the first time.

Thank you so much. I sent a message to support but I may have sent it to the wrong place. I will wait a few days and see what happens. I really appreciate you getting back so quickly. So far I have to say my experience with 123 has been very good. Better than average sales in the first ten days and great support. Thanks again!

Update--- turns out being a newbie and not navigating the site very well was the problem. Seems I uploaded those images twice without realizing it. Hence the refusals for similar. I need to apologize to 123RF. Thank you once again for the great service and your patience. You have generated a very happy new contributor.

For the most part I like 123.  They are fair and respond to my emails.  I don't make as much there as the big four but it is consistent.  So I rely on them when I do my monthly financials.

I used to have a good acceptance rate at 123rf now its terrible. My overall acceptance rate at 123rf is about 85% but lately I can hardly get anything accepted.

last 20 images submitted to
123rf   14 rejected
IS       5 rejected
DT      4 rejected
CS      0 rejected

If the size of the collection is a problem delete all images older than 3 years with no sales or something like that.
