Title: 123RF: subs x credits
Post by: madelaide on April 08, 2008, 20:48
I have observed that at 123RF, when you browse images, there are icons showing they are available for subs (S) and credits (C).

Was is always there? Was there ever a moment in which there was a choice?

Is there a choice of opting-out of subs I am unaware of?

Regards,
Adelaide

You can't opt-out of subs as I know and I think the icons were there the first time I browsed the site 4 or 5 months ago. Did you see pictures who wasn't have the subs icon?

When 123rf started it was subscription only - credits were added later. I think that at one time (not sure if this is still true) there were some collections of content that inmagine (123rf's parent company) owned that were available via 123rf. It may be that some of that content is available under only one or other pricing scheme.

Advanced search doesn't let you search on these criteria, so it's not easy to see if there's actually any content there today that isn't available for both subs and credit.

Vonkara,

I haven't seen images without those icons.  I don't normally browse images in 123RF, so I thought it could be something new (hopefully letting us opt-out of subs....)

last time they had subscription only images, I think they made the images available for credits download.

Tom,

Don't you see the "Earnings" link on the top of the page?  Check if you're seeing the Photographer's or the Designer's tab - the latter won't show you the "Earnings" link and others.
