Title: Check your payment, it may NOT be the same as your earnings
Post by: asmai on April 15, 2013, 09:12
Something wrong with records of my earning for March 2013. At the end of March, i noted it down on my spreadsheet, it's 363$ (round up or down the cents only),  today i just received through Paypal  $350.11 so i go back to check on the site,  and now it says  356.95 for March, also checked the daily and see no refund. Wrote to support and will see what they say. Maybe a bug?

My payment was exactly what it should have been.

So just got this response from 123 today:

"We have checked your account and found that we have overpaid you for February.
You total earning was $ 256.67 , the total paid was $ 263.51"

So i checked my record for Feb: in my spreadsheet it says 263, and i was paid 263, now i look at the record on the site it is 256.67.

So the main problem here is :
At the end of Feb, my earning was 263, now it shows 256.67
At the end of Mar, my earning was 363, now it shows 356.95

Wrote back to them but i doubt i would get any sensible answer

I always noted down my earning for all agencies for years, this is the first time something like this happens. I am very careful with numbers so there is no chance that i got the numbers wrong for 2 consecutive months for the same and only agency.
It's just a few bucks, i would let it go no problem but it makes me wonder about their system.

So this is the answer i got today:

"We detected that there was a bug in the system.

There was a bug in our system which recorded duplicate downloads for the month of February and March.
When the client clicked to download one image, the system recorded it as multiple downloads.
Now, we have fixed the bug  and re batched  your earning page to capture the correct amount earned for the original downloads.

The total amount displayed on your Earning page now, is the correct amount as the duplicate downloads been deducted.
The amount overpaid been deducted from your current earnings.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused."

I am Ok with this answer. Just wondering why it happened only to me.

Didn't just happen to you. Happen to me twice now. At one one point they took off around $300. Here is the responds.

Whats interesting though. The first time it happen they readjusted to the correct amount. So, if I would not have emailed them asking about it, I would think I would have lost some money. With this said. since this incident I record the amount every day just before midnight. A hassle indeed.

I have a hard time trusting these agencies reporting bugs on earnings. 123 seems to be the only agency where there is always something weird going on with the earnings. One way or another, and the amounts displayed on different locations on the site are never the same.

You will not see this prompt again unless you have logged out.

that is what it said when I went to check  - even though I didn't log out, so credibility is already a bit low.

The numbers they reported matched the numbers I had written down for each month this year, so either they hadn't changed them or they changed them before I wrote them down - possible for Feb and Mar as I was away from my computer and then had a hard drive crash keeping me from keeping records for a bit.
