I can send email, but would you please explain what's going on. It's very disconcerting that you cannot or will not elaborate.

Anglee, I appreciate your taking the time to post here and address the issue.  I am sure all of us hope you will be able to intervene and get us our overdue payments.

Good news is I had a BME at 123 in November.  Bad news is I can't seem to get it paid to me.

I had sent a support sitemail, and now I have also sent an e-mail to the address you posted.  Hope this issue is straightened out soon.

I just received a reply from contributor support, and from the attached message from me I can see it was a reply to the support ticket I made earlier today on their site.

"Dear Contributor,

Thank you for contacting Submission @ 123RF.

You query is currently being attended to and we will respond to you as soon as possible once we have further information. If your payment request is valid, we will try to expedite payment to you as soon as possible before Christmas.

Best Regards,

Your Submissions & Review Team"

There was a name underneath - a "Contributor Support Executive"

IF my request is valid?

First, I'm not new to this game and I know how things work and wouldn't have complained about not receiving payment except if I had a valid request.

Second, there's nothing that gets a complaining person's ire roused faster than failing to say "sorry" and suggesting perhaps they did something wrong that caused the problem. Plus, it takes me about 30 seconds to check my earnings for November - why does it take you longer?

Third, you'll "try"? This isn't some game, but a business.  You know how to make these payments - you've been doing it successfully for years. It's outrageous that we wait 15 days after the end of the month, IMO - Shutterstock can do it in a week or less and there is no reason you can't either. But then, when something goes wrong, you don't seem to be treating this with any urgency at all.

Fourth, a month or two back when just one contributor's payment got messed up, he was charged PayPal fees when he did receive his payment. The thinking was that Mass Pay was used for the regular payments but not for his late payment. I want to make it clear that I expect to be paid the full amount with no fees deducted.

In case you can't tell from the above, I'm very, very angry about the way you're handling this. Everyone makes mistakes now and then, but it's the response to it that is so offhand and unnecessarily brusque. Alex saying "while we iron things out at our side" is as close as we've come so far to an admission that 123rf has made a mistake - be upfront with us and treat us as if paying us on time is important to you.

Thanks for expressing my feelings better than I ever could. That part made me smile, though:

I hate it when they ignore your questions and treat you as if you are imbecile. As Jo says its a business.

I asked them 3 questions:

*Why did you make a change to the payment date, pushed back by 2 days without informing us?
*Why is it necessary to push the  payment by two days?
*Why is it not possible to pay right after the month has ended like Shutterstock does?

This is the reply.

"Please be advised that your total earning on Nov is $XX, and this amount didn't reach the minimum limit threshold $50 for Paypal. I believe your total Earnings up to end of December will be processed next Month around 13th - 17th January 2014.

Note that we have input 17th as the max period when the payment will be made, usually the payment is processed around 13 - 17 of the month. Hope this clarifies."

NO, it clarifies NOTHING.

Dodging all 3 questions, come on, just answer instead of giving me this bvllshit.  I replied asking to simply answer the 3 questions, and then things when silent.

What is up with all these agencies treating us like goddamn dirt? Without us no presents for christmas. F.F.S.

Looks like I'm not the only one on this non paid  123rf boat. I've also written support and emailed and have received the same replies that you've had.  Not impressed whatsoever.

Still nothing - no e-mail and no money.

I did check my Earnings tab at 123rf to see if they listed a payment made to me  this month (below the table there's a list of payments made) and the last one shown is November 15, 2013

I think that rules out the problem being on PayPal's end versus 123rf's

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to keep you updated on the non-payment investigations. From the communications that we have received so far, we have narrowed things down a little, after some extensive checking we now understand that the problem came about because we implemented a new script.

This new script allows us to calculate your earnings faster and takes (a whole lot) less server side resources, however, some of the conditions that checks for payment were not "raised" in some of your accounts.

To solve this, we are reverting to the older script to flag the accounts for payment but it takes more than a little time to run these scripts. We then had to manually comb through this list and check the amounts due to you to avoid further discrepancies.

We are taking the extra care to make sure nothing goes awry this time around and that everyone will have a cheery Christmas. As some of you have noticed, we are not in the business of running away with your money, or trying to skimp on several days of interests, we're trying to get things RIGHT.

Our Finance will then make payment to you once they are satisfied that the amounts are correct and there are no over or under payments.

We have received a lot of reports and we wanted to make sure that we send out acknowledgement replies to say, "Yes, you're in our system, we're taking some time to check through everything." and then add you to a special "report received" spreadsheet to track everything.

We are doing things as systematically as we can to avoid further complications.

We're sorry for missing out on your payment. We are trying our best to make all payments in the fastest way possible. Thank you for understanding.

Alex

Yeah, what she said.

I hope this is a one time problem, but I'd hope if we have a recurrence down the line, let us know what's happening sooner rather than later.  Much anguish could have been avoided.

Thank you for explaining what happened

You're not the only agency that has run into problems with new software that apparently was inadequately tested. Even so, when it affects your financial activities, it is very serious.

Trying a new script and not running it in parallel for one month with the old (to see if everything matched up or not) seems to be foolhardy

Had you notified contributors up front that that things were changing and asked us to double check for you, that would have helped surface the problems faster

Had you told support what was going on so they could have given us quick and accurate status updates once we started contacting them, there would have been much less confusion.

The fact that contributors had to bring the problem to your attention suggests you were just hoping everything worked instead of checking to see

I hope the developers do a post mortem on this and learn from their errors so this does not recur.

Your FAQ was changed, it normally said we would get paid on the 15th now it says the 17th. You know what I am talking about.

I am not referring to this cock up, I am referring to the change in the payment date, from the 15th to the 17th

I got paid 13th December (Paypal) so I think the payment date problem in sporadic and not across the board.  However RPD/ income on 123RF has declined significantly for me in most recent months so not happy with overall performance.. its like the more you upload the less you make on RPD.   ???

Pity.. when I first started with 123RF few years ago I was so optimistic about this site!

Hi Everyone,

Our Finance Department has just confirmed that we've made payment to everyone. We do apologize for missing this out in the first place.

Well, certainly not to me. I still haven`t received any payout and wrote yesterday to support....
