Here we go again with the commissions despairing from 123rf, and this time I also found one of my photos had being downloaded for a couple of days but the sale was not recorded on my earning sheet or my commissions...this situation seems to repeat it self every month or two  >:(...I'm really running out of patience with these guys, not only do they hardly sale anything but you have to stay on top of your account just to make sure your commission still there and now also, wether you got payed your commission on a sale or not...is it just me, or is anyone else experiencing the same crap?  >:( >:( >:(

It sure is EJ ;)...now all I have to worry about is getting my commission for the image they sold (no small task) ::)

I removed my (small) portofolio and closed my account a few weeks ago.   For the tiny number of sales I got, it wasn't even worth the mouse clicks it took to upload an image.

Me too. Although even the old report does not always show most up to date info.

Very true GA, I just took yours and Adelaide's suggestion and checked the old report and it reflects the same data as the other...I really don't know whats going on, but I still have a downloaded photo that I've not gotten pay for, or the transaction even recorded on my earnings page, I've being trying to get in touch with support since Friday with no reply from them what so ever...I'm really starting to get a very bad feeling about 123rf.

I hear you m@m. Yesterday I got a payment from 123rf, and today it is still showing the balance before the payment :)

For several weeks, on and off, Ive felt uneasy about the daily updated balance on my account.

I use the PicNiche add-on tool, which keeps me up to date with my sales throughout the day.....except for 123RF, which only updates once at the end of each 123RF day.  The strange thing is that the update process for 123RF, at times, can take up to several hours to complete - adding and subtracting various amounts....none of which, most of the time, bear any resemblance to the amount that should have been added for my sales in the previous 24-hour period.  I felt that on a number of occasions my daily sales amounts were not being correctly added to the weekly and, consequently, monthly balance and, at times, they actually appeared to drop, rather than increase.

A couple of weeks ago, I started to check my sales several times each day....bearing in mind that the 123RF day ends either at 1.00pm or 2.00pm Sydney time.....I'm not 100% sure....as some days the subtracting and adding commences at around 1.00pm, and other days closer to 2.00pm.  Some days, this can go on for a number of hours.

A couple of weeks ago, on a couple of days, first thing in the morning, I wrote down my monthly total, and my total sales amounts.  Throughout the day, up until 1.00pm, I recorded any sales that I had accumulated.  What I found was that after the adding/subtracting process completed (after the end of the 123RF day), the monthly/total balance amounts seemed to be less than the figure that Id come up with, after adding the sales from that particular 24-hour period to the monthly/total balance.  It appeared that I was receiving the correct amount earned from credit sales; however, it seemed that I was missing out on my earnings obtained from subscription sales.

I wrote to 123RF about this matter, and expressed my concerns.  I even captured screendumps to substantiate my query, and attached them to my e-mail.

Within a short time I received the following reply:

Quote
I would advise against checking your earnings on 123rf 10 to 15 times per day. This is because pulling up the detailed earnings report does take a heavy toll on our system. It has to recalculate all the earnings from previous months and tally things up for you. As a result the system may or may not report your earnings accurately as the script does take some time to calculate out everything.

My advice to you is, if you find any problems with your earnings and if it persists for more than 2 days, do bring the matter to our attention, I believe checking your earnings 2 times a day at most is more than sufficient.

Thank you very much!

I'm afraid I didn't find that answer very helpful, and I felt my concerns were not addressed.

Over the past week, I just haven't had the time to keep a close eye on what's been happening to my account, however, a couple of days ago, I started to take a particular interest in it, and once again, the total sales figure did not match what I felt it should have been after the sales I'd achieved during the previous day.

Once again, I wrote to 123RF.  I sent a detailed e-mail, documenting a number of additions and subtractions that occurred at the usual time of the day, on that day.

Yesterday, at 12.16 pm, Sydney time, I wrote down my current monthly balance......$22.65.  I had two sales.....one subscription sale, and one credit sale of $1.29....totalling $1.65.  After the update yesterday afternoon (again after the usual subtracting and adding process), my monthly balance stood at $23.94.  The increase in my monthly sales is exactly $1.29.  So, what happened to the 36c from my subscription sale?   This confirmed in my mind that it appears to be the credit sales that seem 'go missing' at times.

After the update today, Im more confused than ever.

In the 24 hours period of the 17th, I had two subscription sales.  Earlier in the day, my account updated to $24.30and increase in 36c, which appears to be the amount of the subscription sale that was not recorded yesterday.  However, after 1.00pm, my account updated again.this time; it dropped $1.55 from $24.30 to $22.75.  Hours later, just a few minutes ago, it updated again back to $24.30.  However, once again, the funds for the two subscription sales have not yet been added.

To be honest, there are so many updates, both adding to, and subtracting various amounts from my current balance, none of which make sense most of the time, that Ive completely lost track of what the balance of my account should be.  I just cant see why 123RF dont have set out all of the sales each photographer has in a similar way to iStock and other sites.

Unlike last time, when I received a reply from 123RF within 24 hours, as yet, I have not had a reply from the detailed e-mail I sent two days ago.

Am I the only one having this problem, now, or are others still experiencing this problem?

Is it only me, or did 123RF get rid of the "old earnings report" page ?
Since they changed both "downloads" and "earnings" pages a while ago, I kept checking the old earnings pages (http://submit.123rf.com/submit/myearnings.php) that I found much easier to read than the new overloaded one, and also more up to date, but since yesterday or the day before I get a 404 page.

You're not alone Phillip, I'm still waiting for a straight answer as to what happened to my commission of some photo downloaded a week ago today, in the mean time I'm already in the process of finding out what my legal options are on this matter.

Did you take any legal action against them?...what did you do about it?
I can tell you one thing Herman, in my case is only the commission of one photo, which may not be worth  getting my attorney involved in this (not at his prices), but if this problem does not get resolved soon, I'll make sure to give them the worst trashing advertisement campaign they have ever seen...(de esto puedes estar seguro) and you can be sure of this.

The problem was what to do...? For some 200 dollars and living in Panama there were no legal options viable, at least from a cost point of view.  They "sent" the check without being asked to a previous adress of mine, since they were slow sellers I didn't hang over there and when I realized they had sent the check to an old adress I contacted them.  They suggested that I checked with the "actual residents" of that adress, then simply ignored the issue.  The lesson learned was that I don't deal with sites that don't show reasonable lines of communication with its contributors and that have a certain level of sales to justify visiting the site at least each other day.  123RF does not meet any of these, at least for me.  I am waiting my next payout to delete my portfolio there, too little, too slow and not worth it.

On the other hand I had a check problem with SS and they solved it without any hassles, they cancelled the previous one and sent a new one in no time.  They are on another league.

I feel the same way Herman, I'm also just waiting to reach payout so that I can delete my portfolio from 123rf as well, but at their sales rate, and also not getting payed some of my commissions, this could take years...lol... ;)

Hello All,

IT team has informed me they managed to squish the bug. So, do check and see if everything is properly tabulated, if not, you can reach us at [email protected].

Thanks for roughing it out with us!

Alex
for 123RF.com

Alex, maybe the IT team should try spraying the bug instead of squishing it, because it's still alive and well, I'm still missing my commission from the last downloaded photo, or is this a different kind of bug?...BTW, you're asking us to reach you with the all clear at submission@123rf, but there's a little problem with that, no one there cares to answer concerns, questions or complains emails lately, any other suggestions to where we may be able to reach you?  ;)

Today, it was the first time that sales have been updated as they happened, and not at the end of the day.
