Title: How to disable/ remove an image from 123RF?
Post by: sweetgirll on September 26, 2014, 19:24
How easy or difficult is to delete an image?

On other sites, like shutter, and stock, I can delete easily...even on can stock...
however, I don't know about 123RF, and I am wondering what are their terms for deletion....
I  know some agencies will require the image to stay for like six months...

There are no holds on 123rf. If you go to the contributor interface (logged in) and use the history function to find your files, you can delete them yourself

that's great, I didn't know that it was so easy there...

I received a request via Dreamstime to sell all rights to a cartoon illustration...So I am thinking carefully about the idea of selling all rights......I had the image on a few agencies...and 123 was one of them.

i'm not sure it's overly "easy". I open a page with my port and search for the image using a keyword, then copy the image #. Open another tab and go to your history, or your port's "accepted images" and view the whole lot, then paste in the # and you'll get to a screen that lets you delete it.   Is there a better way?

Just go to your history, tick the boxes that says delete image and hit save. There isn't a much easier process in the world of microstock.

How long does it take to remove images? I deleted them some time ago and still see them online. Weeks, months to disappear deleted files? Anybody knows?

I deleted ONE image several weeks ago (by removing it as described above by Valo) and it is NOT in my history now but STILL appears in my portfolio available for download.  ???

The number of images listed in my portfolio and history do NOT agree now.

This, in addition to the fact that my portfolio is no longer updating with newly accepted images is very frustrating.

Worse, I have written several times to 123RF and nothing has been done about any of this.  >:(

Got email reply. For those who don't know:
"There seems to be a bug with the removal from the site itself for deleted images which is currently being addressed by our IT department so it may be that your files were affected as well. We'll need to check the matter further to know."

Another one huge LoL here  ::) Wonder, how many people tried to delete files and don't know they can still sell their material...

I deleted my image 3 days ago, which is actually deleted from database and not showing in search result either by keyword search or by searching image ID.

123rf deleted image is best seller at DT but sales at other sites are very low. Therefore this DT level 4 image is now exclusive at dreamstime.

There are also other reason for deleting only 1 image, if we want to sale copyright or want to upload better revised version.
